I can have it fully set up or stowed away in under 3 minutes, making it ideal for spontaneous camping stops or quick overnights. The build quality is outstanding. It’s clear that Joyinrute didn’t cut corners — the aluminum shell is rugged and weatherproof, and the materials used for the tent walls are tough yet breathable. I recently endured a heavy overnight rainstorm and stayed completely dry and comfortable inside. Zero leaks, no condensation issues — just a cozy night above the ground. Interior comfort exceeded my expectations. The mattress is thick and supportive (way better than sleeping on the ground), and the ventilation is perfect thanks to multiple mesh windows that let in a refreshing breeze without the bugs. It’s surprisingly roomy — plenty of space for two adults and our gear. very nice set up. pitching is very easy, packing is a bit more difficult. i am not a big guy so putting it on the truck would never have worked on my own, it does have some weight to it. i like the addition of the thermal liner though i am not sure how well it will hold up to Minnesota winter. very sleek when packed. pops up nicely. descent space inside (granted i am pretty short). lights work well with a small power bank for charging phones. for the price point seems quite worth what i paid. i have a very bright flashlight and put right up to the wall there was no light seen through the sides, tells me with it fully closed up, it will be very dark inside, or if you have light on inside no one on the outside will be able to tell. ... show more

This was a large purchase to take a chance on from Amazon but I am happy to say this RTT is everything as advertised with just a few issues. I did a lot of research for a roof top tent and this one had all the bells and whistles we were looking for. The quality is there and the tent has been mounted and ready to go camping, see the pics. Here's a few issues we ran into that are in no way deal breakers. Don't worry all of the accessories are Inside the tent. You need to pop one side up to remove them before starting. After sliding the bolt brackets in the tent channels and lining them up, we realized the bolts were not long enough for our cross bars. We mounted this on a Leitner Rack so we had to remove the bolts, run to the hardware store to get 3" long bolts and start over. Otherwise the hardware they supply is adequate. We did find some metal shavings inside on the bed so make sure you vacuum or remove the mattress before using. There are no instructions on closing the tent, which can be tricky and takes some practice. Closing one end at a time feels awkward because you feel as if you're going to bend the mechanism. Meaning when you pull the strap down, the top does not come straight down to line up with the bottom. You have to wiggle the top down to match up with the bottom. This is also tricky to do if you don't have anything to hold on to and you're standing on a side step. Other than that installation is pretty straightforward and easy. Can't wait for our first trip. @UPDATE@ First trip is in the books and we are still satisfied. We were warm and toasty with the outside temp in the 40's and foggy. We had put moisture bags in all 4 corners and it was a good thing because I did find water inside when we first arrived and setup. This may have been due to one of the windows being slightly unzipped? All 4 moisture bags had soaked up their max and the they were hard. We did have a lot of rain leading up to the trip and I did run through the car wash so could've been my fault. Nothing was ruined and we had no real issues other than drying and airing things out a little. We did add another 2" foam pad and that did make it a lot harder to clamp down FYI. ... show more

Five star for now. Slight shipping damage to latches. I'll message them and see if I can get some replacements. Streightend them with pliers. Build quality seems good. End windows are sealed up great! Main opening you can see light through the zippers and stitching. Got it mounted on a can am defender pro. Going out for five nights and I'll update if I get wet or not:) want to ad some more mount points. ... show more

I have a trip at the end of the month that I’m excited to use this for! Overall, I am realllyyyy surprised at the quality for the price. We will see how it truly holds up in the weather but you can’t beat the space, aluminum, and t-slotted design for the price. I previously owned a Roofnest which was super expensive. Loved it but soon found out it wasn’t built for Florida heat. It started cracking and leaking when it rained and ultimately was unfixable. Roofnest’s customer service was terrible and refused to help. This Rooftop tent is strong and durable. Its shell is aluminum and easy pop up. So far super happy. ... show more
