I’m a Hispanic female with textured hair( thick, wavy and curly) definitely a 3A/3B and enough hair for two women! The flat iron is in a class by itself. I have a HSI ceramic plated flat iron that I’ve used for over 12 years if not more. The temperature setting that I used is 380 and 2-3 passes to get my hair straight. Oh she’s amazing! She’s iconic. She is the moment (or maybe decades I dk ) I’ve wanted a Babyliss Pro for years but I couldn’t justify the $200 price tag to myself. I had a L’ange and it did fine. “Fine” being the word. I have what I think is 2B hair so it’s wild and hard to tame. Straightening was a process and going over the same strand time and time again damaged my hair more than necessary. Those days are gone! Babyliss did it in 1/5 of the time with better results. She heats up SUPERFAST and the wide plates cover more area. She is so comfortable in my hand. She also goes to 465F where as every other straightener I’ve ever had stopped at 450F. This flat iron has been in my saved for later for months. Everyone on the internet recommends this flat iron, but I thought it was a bit on the pricey side. This is the highest tier of flat iron I have ever used, and it produced PROFESSIONAL results. Results were giving SILK, bone straight and smooth hair. It lasted so long. For reference, I have waist-length high-density fine 3c/4a natural hair with highlights. I had zero heat damage, and I blow-dried my hair with my Dyson using the comb attachment and then flat ironed my hair on 380 degrees. I did one pass using the chase method with a fine-tooth comb. Now I have to stop myself from wearing only straight hair. Do yourself a favor and pull the trigger on this purchase! It is worth every penny! ... show more
