I have to say, this is one impressive hair dryer and set of compatible attachments for various styling needs. I found the dryer itself not to be too heavy to use and it pushes a truly amazing amount of air for something this size, much more than I expected. Hair drying time? Minutes at the most. Way better than my old bargain-basement Conny, which will likely be relegated to the guest bathroom. The extra attachments are great, and I've already used the round brush, diffuser, and the curling wand ends, and all work well on my hair. (I didn't try the flat brush, concentrator, or anti-frizz tool yet.) I appreciate the storage case, too, which makes it easy to keep everything organized and in my opinion, there's enough room in the case if you want to store a clip or two, or maybe some scrunchies or whatever. Maybe even some small hair product supplies, like the oil I sometimes use. To be fair: This is NOT a cheap hair dryer and styling system. I got mine during a Prime sale, making it much more affordable. That said though, this is one heck of a dryer and associated gear and I expect to be using it for a long time to come. It's the classic "quality requires a higher price-point" issue, but in this case, I think it was worth it. ... show more

6 month review with DISCLAIMER When I first bought this, I was absolutely obsessed. I bought it november and for reference, it is now April 25th. It gives incredible volume. I'm never putting another iron to my hair and my hair is so much healthier and voluminous! I GOT TONS OF COMPLIMENTS It's fast but takes a little bit of practice to get used to. But once you get used to it, it's amazing and a total lifesaver. This is my only disclaimer: within the last few weeks, I noticed the quality of the tool had reduced. And the the results were not what they used to be. Then, all of a sudden it stopped working. Mid hair completely stopped.I unplugged it plugged it back in messed with it. It would turn on for a couple minutes or even a couple seconds.And then turn back off! I SAID OH HECK NO!! So today, I called shark and spoke to a very friendly representative that led me to a very important thing that everyone should know when they buy this tool. At the bottom of the tool near the on off button, there is a filter.The cover to the filter, just slides off.You can pull it down. Gently. Once you pull it down inside of there is tiny screens and a filter, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST CLEANL THIS FILTER OUT ONCE A MONTH. The gentleman had me brush all of the residue off of the screens, gently with a small brush ( i used a clean, small eyeshadow brush and just gently wiped it off) and there was a lot of it! Then, they instructed me to wipe down the screens with an alcohol prep pad, it was BLACK!! Soo upkeep in tool is Necessary. After doing this, LET IT DRY, LIKE 30 SECONDS....my tool turned on and I could already hear that it was functioning better. ... show more

I used it for the first time and I think the result was perfect, Look at it for yourselves. I know I need more practice but I’m very excited for it. The weight wasn’t that bad, a lil bit of noisy but nothing that you can’t handle. Ease to use, and to installed the attachments. My hair was so shiny and the attachment that is to reduce the frizz just perfect. I didn’t noticed that it break my hair so that’s good. I think it worth the money but I would keep trying the other attachments to see how it goes. My hair feels so smooth. My only concern is, that I think I need a bigger attachment to style it because my hair is too long. Other than that, for the first time of use. I loveeee it. ... show more

    • To my true curly girls who can pull of a nice sleek curled blowout, don’t waste your money.

For context, my hair type is 3A (think Zendaya’s natural hair texture in Spider Man). Please DO NOT waste your money. I’ve gotten a smoother curled blowout with FHI Heat (1850 watts) and a ceramic brush than with this over priced hair dryer made for people who either want pin straight-ish hair, or already have straight hair. The round brush has too much tension and was literally pulling my fine hair out, the air wrapped curls fell out after 15 minutes, because you can’t straighten curly hair to pin straight without adding some serious curling iron heat for the blowout look to stay all day, which defeats the purpose of having one appliance to do it all, if it’s not hot enough. No amount of telling me less heat is better, when heat is what naturally curly hair requires for it to be smoother. I’m glad I was able to return it. I will be going back to my old reliable fhi heat hairdryer and ceramic brush. ... show more
