I recently purchased the TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb, and I must say, it's become an essential part of my haircare routine. This innovative product combines the best of both worlds by acting as a comb and a flat iron, making hairstyling a breeze. I absolutely adore this hot comb-style straightener. It performs exceptionally well when it comes to achieving perfectly straight roots without the risk of burning myself (unlike my boyfriend's attempts with the TYMO). It leaves my hair looking as sleek as if a professional stylist had done it. Surprisingly, I actually prefer it over my flat iron. It allows me to work with larger sections of hair, significantly speeding up the straightening process (usually around an hour, give or take a few minutes). To get the best results, I always start by blow-drying my hair. I haven't tried straightening my hair without pre-blow-drying it, mainly because I live in a very humid area and rely on humidity control products like "WOW" to combat frizz. The only challenge I haven't quite mastered is getting my ends as straight as the rest of my hair. Admittedly, I'm due for a trim. I still have to use my flat iron on my ends to make them look nice. To ensure a smooth finish, I use a brush to chase both the straightener and flat iron, as I've found this technique delivers the best results, especially for my damaged ends. Occasionally, I've experienced the straightener shutting off when I accidentally hit the button. However, overall, it's well-designed, not too heavy, and comfortable to hold. I know I'm in the minority because I really haven't seen a negative review for this item. I have naturally wavy hair and have been using a flat iron for years. I kept seeing ads for this and how wonderful it was so I gave it a try. It does indeed straighten your hair. You still have to go through the same process as a flat iron by sectioning and using tension as you go downn so it was not any faster nor did it do a better job than the flat iron. It definitely lets you get closer to the roots without burning your scalp. However, it does not straighten all the way to the ends. Once you get to about an inch or two to the end, there is no way to keep the tension so the ends come out of the comb and left my ends still frizzy and left a little curl - up or down depending on if you use it from underneath your hair or from the top. Also, you cannot use the same way you would use a comb or a brush. You have to section and place the section of hair in the comb. I wanted to love it but I don't. I will be returning.
