This is my second straigtener from Tymo. It's so reasonably priced. It heats up super fast and only takes me a few minutes for my entire head. I don't have the patience to section and flat iron tiny pieces at a time and then still having some wonky curves. This comb works very easily to side down your hair and you can do pretty big chunks at a time. I have a perm and this makes my hair pin straight. I'm also afraid of hot tools, but it stays warm, but not burning your hand at all. It comes with a heat Glover and I only used it the first time I tried the straigtener. It's totally unnessisary. Comes also with two clips for you hair which is nice. And the carry bag is hands too. I really love it!

What?? This is so cheap and works so much better than any straightener I've owned. Here's the big caveat... you have very little control over the ends of your hair. I've owned Solia, Chi, am currently using the white T3... my hair has never been easier to straighten or as straight on the top of my head. You don't get the wavy crimp lines from a flat straightener because this thing basically combs into your hair and straightens from the root out an inch so there is no way to have a crimp line. I am blown away by how shiny my hair looks. And it was crazy easy. Took no effort. In fact, you almost have to use bigger sections with this tool than with a flat iron straightener. Okay so here's the snag, and you can tell just by watching any video of someone using it. You need to hold pressure on your hair to hold it inside of the tool, so when you get to the ends and have to let go, there is no way to really control the ends. I was able to hold my hair until the last little bit slipped from my fingers and I managed to curl the ends under. The finished look is great. But if I wanted it to be stick straight all the way to the end, not curled under at all, that would be a little harder. Does this replace a flat iron? No. I often straighten just the ends of my hair after curling it, and I could not do that with this tool. However, this thing is waay faster and easier and makes my hair shinier and smoother than a flat iron. The heat up time is slow. At first just the top blue light was blinking and I thought that meant it was warming up. Nope. You need to hit the power button (again?). The blinking blue light apparently just shows you it's plugged in. Once you hit the power button, the white lights will indicate the power/heat level and the top blinking white light will become solid once it's done heating. It took maybe 30 sec - 1 min longer than my usual flat iron heat up time. Safety/fire prevention... so this thing would be harder to burn yourself on for sure. Also, the actual hot plates don't touch your counter or anything other than your hair because the guards block them. The back of the tool is flat. It DOES get HOT, but touchably hot. It might melt plastic carpeting. But I have no concerns with setting the flat backside directly on my counter, which means I no longer have to balance a straighener on its case or a hot pad. I am just in shock... I didn't expect this cheap thing to work so well. I literally just bought a dyson airwrap after years of wanting one and am not nearly as blown away with it. This would be a great gift for anyone into beauty or hair because it's not a common device to own and works amazing and is relatively inexpensive. So glad I tried it.

So after using this for 3 weeks I would say it was good but other than getting closer to the root of the hair nothing different or quicker than a straighter. It reaches the roots against my hair better to take out bumps but it is also harder to curl the ends inward to keep the from looking unprofessional and clean. For $50 it is decent but nothing of a miracle if you have straightener that you love this will not solve your problem for a quick or faster solution. It is probably slightly faster than a strightener but I still have to brush and pull out small patches of hair and go over 2-3 times for it to be effective. I have thick course hair and I am 50+ so for others it might be easier.

I bought this because I was looking for a faster way to straighten my hair without the hassle of a traditional flat iron. After using it for a few weeks, I have mixed feelings about whether it's truly a "game changer." What I Liked: • Heating Speed: It really does heat up in about 20–30 seconds. The 5 temperature settings are a nice touch, but I did find I had to turn it up to level 4 to achieve decent results despite having hair of medium thickness and fairly loose curls/waves. • The Design: The "anti-scald" teeth are actually effective. I didn't worry about burning my scalp or ears, which is a huge plus compared to a traditional iron. • The Swivel Cord: The cord is long and moves 360 degrees, so it never got tangled while I was reaching for the back of my head. The Drawbacks: • Not for "Stick Straight" Results: While this is great for smoothing out frizz and waves, it didn't give me that sleek, "glass hair" finish that a flat iron provides. I found myself having to make multiple passes to achieve an acceptable level of straightness. • Snagging: Even with thoroughly detangled hair, I found that if I took a section that was even slightly too large, the brush would snag. You have to work in very small sections for it to be effective, which ends up taking almost as much time as a regular straightener. The Verdict: This is a solid tool for a quick morning hair refresh. However, it might only serve as a backup tool for touch-ups rather than a primary styling device. It's "okay," but the lack of a truly sleek finish keep it from being a 5-star product for me.

I recently purchased the TYMO Ring Hair Straightener Comb, and I must say, it's become an essential part of my haircare routine. It allows me to work with larger sections of hair, significantly speeding up the straightening process (usually around an hour, give or take a few minutes). To get the best results, I always start by blow-drying my hair. I haven't tried straightening my hair without pre-blow-drying it, mainly because I live in a very humid area and rely on humidity control products like "WOW" to combat frizz. The Tymo Ring is the most wonderful hair tool I've ever come across. Before now, I thought my flat iron was the best way to straighten my hair even though it took 20+ minutes of some frustration and arm acrobatics. Boy, was I wrong! I saw a version of the Tymo Ring that set me off on researching this type of tool. I found the Tymo to have the best reviews and capabilities. I still had strong doubts that it would work. Face it, this thing looks strange and how could it straighten hair??? First, to address the reviews discussing the buttons easily turning it off during use. I did accidentally turn mine off twice during initial use. But, with subsequent uses, this didn't happen. I naturally found the most comfortable way to hold the Ring that also prevented accidental shut-off. The Tymo Ring is incredibly easy to use. It's intuitive. To straighten my weird coarse hair that is partially straight, partially wavy, and a large part coarse and tightly curly, this takes all of two quick pass-throughs. It gets very close to the scalp without causing any burns. The hair does get rather hot with the second pass-through but nothing I can't tolerate. For those with more sensitive hands, a protective glove is included in the box - as are hair clips. The tool itself doesn't get hot and has an auto shut off for those of us who are forgetful. Results are fast! I can do my entire hairstyle in exactly 4 minutes rather than the 20-30 minutes needed with a flat iron - from a mess of air-dried, fuzzy, curly, very hard to straighten hair to smooth and silky straIght. For touch-ups on off days, I can repair my hair in two minutes. Seriously, two minutes to run the Tymo Ring through my hair for the perfect look. For the first time in my life, I do my hair every day rather than pulling it back or up in a ponytail. It truly leaves hair silky soft (maybe too soft???), smooth, straight, incredibly shiny, and with no fly-aways. My style often lasts for two to three days - even with sleeping on it. But, when bedhead occurs, I know I can repair that in a matter of two minutes. For reference, I don't run the Ring through my hair like a comb. I hold my hair and run the Ring underneath my hair while holding the ends to guide it through the Ring. I will also flip it at the ends to add a bit of curl and direction. This gives my hair shape and style with ease. I truly cannot rave about the Tymo Ring enough. It has changed my feelings about my hair and made it where I can be beautiful even on days where I'm doing nothing. It's so darn easy and effective to use! TIP ~ I see many asking how to clean it. The Ring does pull product out of hair - as does every hot hair tool as seen by the grunge on the tool after using it. I've seen dental floss recommended to get between the forms. I find this tedious and use a soft to medium bristle kitchen scrub brush to clean mine after each use. I just hold the Ring next to my body for stability and quickly run the scrub brush through the forms. Switch sides and do it again. This quickly and easily removes any build-up or dirt without damaging the Ring, leaving it looking brand spanking new. This takes less than a minute to do. About once a week, after doing this, I'll take a very lightly dampened cloth and run it over the entire ring (I do this any time the body of the Ring looks dirty.)
