I bought this with high expectations. It’s very easy to use and styles hair flawlessly. I noticed good frizz control and it gave me really good volume. It works best with hair rollers and pin curls. My hair doesn’t hold curls well so whenever I style my hair with the shark I always use those and the results are amazing. The attachments are all reliable and get the job done. The shark is sooooo flexible and when I say that I mean it has so many different options, like it has 3 different settings for both heat and how much air.. If that makes sense. 100/5 Stars. Incredible. I thought I was the problem all along when it came to drying my hair and it turns out it was simply the tools. I dried my thick, shoulder length hair in 2 minutes and curled it in 6 minutes. Blew me away! I promptly tossed my hair dryer, crimping iron, curling iron, straightener, curling hair brush, and blow dry brush after I finished. This tool replaced six. It was costly and 110% worth it. I’m so excited to have something so easy to use. I was scared that the curling function would be difficult to master but it was so easy and fun. I’m so excited. Don’t doubt it - this is the best tool. It is VERY loud. That will take some getting used to. Great airflow - tons of air speed and heat is less than I would have thought but feels healthy. The Shark FlexStyle exceeded all of my expectations! I was a little hesitant before buying it, but after the first use, I was completely impressed. It dries my hair incredibly fast without leaving it feeling dry or damaged, and switching between the attachments is quick and easy. My favorite thing about it is how versatile it is. I can straighten my hair, add volume, or create beautiful curls with just one tool. The curls last really well when I use a heat protectant and a little hairspray, and my hair looks smooth, shiny, and frizz-free. UPDATE: after about 6 weeks of owning it, the power on/off button literally just fell off. I was bummed out bc otherwise I LOVE this product. Customer service was helpful in replacing it for me even though the time limit expired. Got my new one by the next day, fine. I kid you not I’ve owned the replacement for about a week and a half now, just took it out to blow dry my hair, and the power on/off button is GONE AGAIN. I love the product, but twice in a row that this happens after owning for less than 2 months, means the product is just flawed. To preface, I have spent the last 6 months reading reviews and trying to decide between the Dyson or the Shark. Finally, I felt like I had read so many more reviews from people who had both, that recommended the Shark vs it's competitor. And I have to say, I just received it a few days ago and I AM OBSESSED. I tried out each of the attachments except I haven't used the flat paddle brush yet. The section styling piece is what I used to overall dry my whole head. The device is comfortable to grip, not too heavy at all, and the buttons are in literally the perfect spots. I love how you can change the temperature at the click of a button that naturally is where my fingers hold it. I was nervous to try the curl attachments and I'll admit my first go was pretty bad. BUT an hour later I ran some water through my hair and tried again after watching a quick youtube tutorial and the results were AMAZING. AMMMMMAZING. It was less of a curl and more of this beautiful expensive looking blowout that I thought only happened at the salon. I'm not exaggerating it was absolutely perfect. Edit: I was going through my reviews to see which ones I had to update. I did return the Shark and I kept my T3. I couldn’t justify the cost of the Shark for what it was. I’m happy with my decision. I wanted really bad to like this. I cut my hair short recently because it was going to force me to take care of my hair better. I also don’t know how to curl my hair, so something that made it go the direction it needed to would’ve been so helpful. I’m going to echo what everyone else said. It is loud. And if you’re using it to curl your hair, you’re hearing that loud for a long time. The blow dryer is nice and does dry fast. It’s easy to figure out. The curling tools do not pick up my hair. I tried to do it dry before reading that it’s supposed to be towel dried. I added water to towel dry my hair and even then, it wasn’t strong enough to curl my hair at any speed. I have thick and coarse hair. I assume my hair is just too heavy? I will hold onto it for another week but will likely return it. I purchased another brand that works better and isn’t the Dyson because who is paying that much? If I change my mind on it, I’ll update my review. But so far, I’m not at all impressed. I recently picked up the Shark Freestyle Air Styler & Dryer, and after a few weeks of use, I’m happy to share my thoughts. Here’s my review: Design & Build: The Shark Freestyle Air Styler & Dryer has a sleek, modern design that feels both lightweight and sturdy. The ergonomic handle makes it comfortable to hold, and the size is perfect for both styling and drying without causing wrist strain. It’s a compact tool that doesn’t feel bulky or awkward to use, which is a huge plus when you’re styling your hair for a longer period. UPDATED: After going through the troubleshooting guide on the shark site it helped with the overheating issue. It still takes forever to get my hair 100% dry with this unit, but it's a good tool to have. This product worked very well initially, but after less than a year of light use, it began overheating after just 2–3 minutes. Airflow is much weaker than when new, and the unit shuts off completely when any attachment is used, making it difficult to finish drying or styling. This was disappointing given the price and brand reputation. I otherwise liked the product and would be happy with a replacement if this issue can be resolved. ... show more
