  • Wish they made a cordless

This is a great product, it can easily dry your hair while brushing it, you gotta be cautious to not use it too often or your hair will be damaged

  • Good, workhorse hair styling tool.
Style: Rotating - 2 Inch
I purchased this to replace a similar tool from Revlon (I forget the name of it, but do not buy the Revlon one. It comes apart, needlessly, and can never be properly reassembled). I really like it. The point of my owning this is to avoid having to do a blowout with a round brush and separate dryer. I do not possess the ninja hair skills to operate two items at once. I am also extremely lazy. So the reason this does not get 5 stars from me is because it does not have the blow-power to really dry hair; it is more of a styler. My thick, shoulder-length hair must be nearly dry to achieve the quick smooth style I want from this tool. I either have to let it air-dry for about 45 minutes, or pre-dry with my blow dryer. (The Revlon tool did a better job of drying-while-styling, so I know it is possible.) Having said that, I really do like this tool. It smooths hair as well as my salon stylist can with a round brush + dryer. To be truthful, if it blew harder it would probably not smooth as well; the hair shaft is like a series of little shingles, and if you blow them the wrong way they get roughed up and don't reflect the light well. So I kind of forgive it for not blowing harder. (I really should be less lazy, but I've got a kid and a day job and better things to do.) The large diameter of the brush is refreshing. It provides a straighter style while still giving me plenty of volume. The narrower brushes gave more of a curl/wave thing. I do like that the result from the Babyliss mimicks a plain blowout. The Babyliss feels substantial in the hand, well made, not toy-like. It feels as though it is built to last. (It better--this was much more expensive than the Revlon.) The titanium barrel is instrumental in the smoothing action. There is a bit of a learning curve with the rotation, or at least there was for me. The rotation buttons are a hair trigger, and I didn't even mean to make that pun. Just lightly touching them and you're spinning. So it was a little fiddly for me at first. Sometimes I want to just spin. Sometimes I want to roll the hair to the root and hold the tool close to my head for a minute. Getting the finger off the button at the right time is a little tricky. But I did mention I have zero hair skills. I love that it spins in both directions. It spins very smoothly. I was afraid I would tangle up my hair in the rotation process. It has NEVER tangled. I'm a little bit shocked. The bristles are just perfect; the perfect length, the perfect amount of grip, and when it comes time to clean the hairs out, the bristles let go of them quickly. Very easy to clean. I have never burned myself, either. It is not easy to grab it where the hot barrel is. The bristles keep your hand away. I like that. The tip is hot, though. Careful. It came with a little plastic sleeve that I thought was just packaging, but I ended up keeping it to store the brush in while not in use. If you stored it lying on its side--as I do--without the little sleeve, the bristles might flatten over time. The sleeve thing is perfect for popping over the end to keep that from happening. I like that it has a cool setting to lock in the style; I like that it doesn't spin while on cool. There is no need for it to spin at that time, and I appreciate Babyliss' attention to this detail. I wish the barrel were a little longer--so I could wrap more and more hair around it, furthering my goal of extreme laziness--but it's okay that it isn't. It really is plenty long for most normal, non-lazy people. The bristles are long enough that you can wrap what is really too much hair around it and it will still work. I would repurchase this item if I needed to. I would recommend it to others. It works great. The price is reasonable for the quality and effectiveness of this tool. I hope this review was helpful to you. ... show more

  • Owned for 7 years
Style: Rotating - 2 Inch
I’ve owned this for seven years and am only buying a new one now because the cord got cut in a move. I LOVE this thing. I’ve tried other brands when I was on vacation or with friends but I prefer this one. It has the best bristles, heat, and rotation. I have long curl hair but usually straighten it in the driest part of winter. It makes my hair look exactly like I love for it to look plus leaves a gorgeous shine. ... show more

  • Takes some practice but love it
Style: Rotating - 2 Inch
I have another blower but wanted one that rotates. I do like this one but it is an adjustment. The heat does seem as hot. And the rotation takes some practice.

  • Frizz killer
Style: Rotating - 2 Inch
I moved to U.S. from Europe where I had a hair dryer with a rotating hair brush. I loved it - it had two exchangeable brushes of two different sizes and you could also use it without a brush to pre-dry your hair. I left it in Europe because it worked only with 220V. I thought there will be large selection of similar products on the U.S. market. But I was disappointed. First, I found Conair Infiniti Pro Spin Air Rotating Styler. It actually looks and operates in the same manner as this Babyliss Pro Rotating Hot Air Brush. However, the first time I used the Conair, it was already malfunctioning - brush rotating very slowly or not at all. Although the sedond time I used it, it worked perfectly and gave my hair beautiful shine and my hair was smooth and frizz-free. The third time, it worked only intermittently and the fourth time, it stopped rotating completely. I returned it and looked for another hair dryer with a rotating brush. Unfortunally, not many of these on this market :( To my happiness I found this Babyliss. The brush is larger which works for my shoulder-length hair. It rotates better and faster than the Conair. It produces more heat than the Conair. True, your hair dries little longer than with a regular hair dryer, but even if you take the extra minutes that you must have using Babyliss and use them while drying your hair with a regular hair dryer and classic brush you will not achieve the smoothness and shine of your hair. I guarantee it. You can always pre-dry your hair with a regular hair dryer that you probably have at home anyhow. I used to pre-dry with my European version of rotating brush. Because Babyliss does not have this option I gave it 4 stars. When using rotating brush for the first time - it takes a few times to get used to it in order not to tangle your hair. Especially, if you are left-right orientation challeneged as I am - especially when you have to coordinate with your image in a mirror. But after 2-3 times using it, you'll master the two buttons you have to push in order for the bursh to rotate in the correct direction. From what is available on this market I highly recommend Babybliss with rotating brush - it will make your hair look like from a hair salon with shine, smoothness and no frizz. ... show more
