Would be nice if it either covered the pour spout or you could leave it on while pouring without it moving, but alas, it does reduce heat escape slightly and keeps things from falling into your brew. Note it only covers the neck, it is much smaller than I imagined but that could have been solved by reading the specs ... show more

This would be very nice for someone who remembers it's there. I was using it to keep the coffee hot in between cups but I could just never seem to remember it was there and it's clear so you don't really see it and I kept dumping it out. I really don't know what the point of this thing is unless you have a lot of bugs in the space where you make your coffee. It certainly doesn't help keep the coffee warm for more than a few minutes.
