This hitch is amazing, especially to keep the multipro tailgate operational. I was hesitant because of the price, but finally broke down and bought the hitch. Glad I did. Best hitch ever! This thing is a beast, and will tow anything you need. I’ve read on other post about the rattle, which almost prompted me to buy hitch silencers. I worried about clearance with the mulitpro tailgate, so I decided to wait and see what I needed when the hitch came in. Glad I waited. The hitch actually has a set screw that you lock down after you install it. Once you crank the set screw down, no rattling at all. Perfect hitch for ‘23 Tacoma TRD Sport. Designed for Chevy but fits perfect in small Toyota hitch for light duty towing, fast swap between the 2” and 2 5/16” ball. B&W hitches are the best, I used a larger 2.5” B&W version on my ‘21 Ram 2500 diesel for 4 years - just awesome.

    • Does not work with Multiflex tailgate!
The hitch makes contact with the tailgate and leaves scratches. Beyond disappointed with B&W. This is second hitch and expected quality for this price. The model says it fits the multiplex tailgate but doesn’t work at advertised. DO NOT PURCHASE this model unless you like wasting money.

    • Don’t make the same mistake I did
Ok so I did a lot of research because there are so many models offered that I wanted to be sure to get the right one for me. I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 w/MultiPro tailgate. I arrived home late at night to find that my package had arrived. I was too excited to wait until daylight to put it on the truck. The quality is extremely impressive. I put it on and in the extreme darkness of night had thought I had it in all the way. Was bummed to find out that my tailgate hit it. Gave it some time to think it over and then figured out that this receive actually is hollowed out on the back side and is meant to push all the way in so that it recesses into it. Then it worked exactly as expected. I felt like a fool. Don’t be like me. Be sure to shove it all the way to where it can’t go in any more. Very happy with my purchase! ... show more

    • Best for split tailgate on GM pickups
Works great for my GMC with the new split type tailgate. Has plenty of clearance if you remember to turn the hitch around after use. It’s spendy but I’m sure it costs less than a new tailgate! There seems to be a lot of adjustment vertically for different trailer hitches too. I lie that it’s always there when I need it. ... show more

    • Nice rig. Hard to find hitch silencer that works.
A real hard time finding a hitch silencer cause it does bang around. The pads won't work with the multipro tailgate. Makes it stick out too far and will contact tailgate. Hitch shaft is solid so Ero silencer won't work. A bit expensive but should last a lifetime.
