Very powerful motor, comes as a complete tire and wheel assembly, wire harness leave a lot to be desired and battery pack connectors do NOT match what is provided. Make sure you have a soldering gun and estra 12 AWG wire handy. NOTE use duel torque arms, such as Zacro Universal Ebike Torque Arm Conversion Kits, Electric Bike Front or Rear Hub Motors. I purchased this kit in August 2021, and I must say it was so easy to install I felt like I missed something, I even installed two torque levers just to make sure I wouldn’t have any problems with rounding out the forks and I gotta say it has been great ! Although not totally quiet, it’s whine isn’t too bad ( unless you have a rickety bike that loves to rattle). I just passed 1500 miles and the biggest issue I have, is No cruise control, my thumb cramps up. It’s fun to put it together and be able to get some good exercise It’s Feb2023 and I just passed 3500 miles with no problems until now. It started to act up a couple of months ago with power issues. With a full charge, no problem, but after a few miles the throttle cuts out when you try to accelerate. It’s making a growling noise, it would be nice if it can be rebuilt. If there is a parts breakdown and replacement parts are available it would make this kit a bargain. ... show more

1. Now my review might be harsh at times, but this kit is not user friendly, I bought it but then thought "oh pedal assist and display would be nice, can I add it" NO! Controller is specifically designed in a way so that you can't use those features, then I thought "oh, maybe I can contact seller can provide controller with such inputs" again NO, seller says "oh we recommend you to buy an entire new kit that includes those features", so yeah, if you want kit with display seller offers you to buy the entire kit again. If you would like to have those features you should spent another 100-200$ on separate controller and display. 2. This kit(REAR) claims to be for 135mm dropout, but my purchase with it's spacers doesn't fit into 135mm dropout, ok i remove the spacers, it fits but it's not equally spaced, i mean wtf, you cant even make a kit that equally fits onto bike, I think this can be adjust but it's such an inconvenience and rises the question if they cant even make kit that fits into bike normally is it even safe to drive it? It's like it was made by amateurs, not professional. 3. add another 100$ and for 400$ you will find kit that has display, is waterproof, has all basic stuff needed including arm torques(dont forget to put them anything above 500W on a flywheel is a potential disaster for you and your bike without them) I will revisit review because the battery I ordered hasn't arrived yet, so I haven't tested this motor fully, but this points are red flags for me and I would avoid this motor, even if it's perfectly working after customization, there is some basic shit for a product to deserve at least 2 star. If you are not new into ebike assembly and for some reason read my review you have to wait until i fully test the product xP, can't deny though it seems affordable ... show more

    • Use a torque wrench and indexing plates.

The media could not be loaded. Make sure you tighten the hell out of the lugs. If not,it will vibrate loose enought to torque wrap jump the notch and wind up the cord if you don't notice it,it will twist it completely off. Very poor design, it's a pretty cheap set-up but I have given it maticulous mantainance and thoroughly been over every single part with lock-tight. I have put 1700 miles on this hub and it's starting to whine and drone really loudly when there is a load on the hub, it also will jolt back and forth with full throttle as if it's trying to go in reverse. That is from the motor wearing out, but It still trucks along about 35 mph haven't had any real issues with it other than the bolts loosening and it winding up the chord(see video for chord damage from loosened bolts) ,so I can't really complain . I STRONGLY SUGGEST just loc-tite EVERYTHING! And torque everything even the small fasteners get inch\lbs of torque. And I made my own indexing plates out of some sheet-metal to stop the torque wrap. Wish they made a 20 inch with same voltage and output. ... show more

This is a very nice eBike kit that was easily installed on the front of my wife’s Schwinn Meridian tricycle. It would have been nice if somewhere in the instructions or on the hub motor they would have indicated the direction of rotation. It only took an additional half hour to flip the wheel to get it going forward… a minor hiccup! Instructions are sketchy, but with a little patience anyone can install. Make sure you purchase an auxiliary torque arm as this thing is too strong for the forks on most standard bicycles. Love it! Very strong and maybe a little too fast! UPDATE: WARNING, this motorized wheel is too powerful for a front fork which is not heavy duty. The wheel spread the fork on a brand new Schwinn. That then allowed the axle to spin in the fork. See the pictures. I had to buy a replacement fork. My original review is still true. A great product, just need to selective of what you mount it on. Amazing!
