The performance of this unit its unbelievable. I am the owner of a 5.7L Hemi-pick up, I had a small power-leak, Bttery was getting weak, as a prophylactic meassurement, I purchased this thing, I fully charged the unit and put it under rear seat, a week later, the batterie flat-out die, Short-circuited, which, I pulled the "jump starter" hooked it up, and... magic. that thing has POWER !!! very light weight, small and convenient. and the Price? cheap, ander 40, Totally worth it. Yeap, I have a new Battery. Read The Instructions, Thats the Key. read the Instruction and you will be Fine, safe, having that thing as a back-up. dont froget to charge it. all the best. I fully recommend this product.

Works great if you need the quick burst for starting. Not gonna work if that vehicle demands 20 seconds of continuous feed. I've got one in the boat and one in the truck.

I purchased this battery jump starter about 19 months ago after having had repeated trouble with my car battery and everyone saying it was fine, and having to repeatedly call my insurance company for a jump start, so that they eventually canceled my roadside assistance. I eventually purchased a new battery, and bought this jump starter just in case. I fully charged the jump starter when I first got it, and recharged it as directed after 6 months as directed (even though the indicator showed it had discharge very little.) Fast forward 19 months, I inadvertently left the dome light to my car on, so I needed to jump start my car. I could, unfortunately, not get the jump starter to function correctly. I eventually contacted the selling company, and they were great to work with every step along the way. Jenny, the service person I dealt with, always responded promptly, offered suggestions, and made everything very easy for me. They offered me a no charge replacement, or refund. Because I wanted a new 24 month warranty, I chose the refund, and because of their great service, I purchased the exact same unit new. They even refunded me the difference between what I originally paid for it, and the current price Amazon!!!! Who could ask for more?! In the end, they asked if I could ship back the non-functioning unit, and even promptly refunded me the shipping costs! Everything including all the credits was prompt. I don't know what was wrong with the original unit because it showed that it was 100% charged. Maybe it was a faulty adapter plug that held the clamps. I don't know, but I highly recommend this company because they FULLY stand behind their products... even after my having purchased it 19 months previously, and not having registered for the warranty when I first received it. (For a date, they used my original Amazon order number.) Thanks Jenny and AVAPOW!

I purchased this Jump Starter several months ago & used it to jumpstart a vehicle. It was very finicky when trying to hook it up and get a good connection with the battery (probably because of the clips which are small, weak & seemingly not designed very well) but I did get it to work a couple of times. I just went to use it again (several months later) because my battery died and now it doesn’t work at all. I obviously tried recharging it, waited until it reached 100% & tried again numerous times but still nothing. It’s not just a dodgy connection this time, because now when I hit the ON button the LED display doesn’t work. The light also doesn’t work when turning that on. The LED display works when it’s plugged in and it will count up to 100 as if it’s charging, but as soon as it’s unplugged the display doesn’t work. Also if it’s plugged back in it goes back to counting from 0 to 100, even though it’s just been charged. I also measured it with a multimeter & it’s only outputting about 0.5 volts. I’m now sitting here stuck without a vehicle, which is not ideal especially since I’m disabled and it’s hard enough to get around as it is. Since I only needed it for emergencies and haven’t had to use it for several months, it’s now past the return/support window so I guess I’m also out the money I paid for this as well as being stuck. If you need something that won’t leave you stranded with a dead battery (which is the main purpose of this product I would assume) I would definitely recommend a different brand.

I purchased and used the AVAPOW Car Jump Starter Battery Jumper Starter to jump start my 2012 Mercedes C300. First, I was really nervous because I've NEVER jumped a battery nor have I ever seen or used a jump starter. I bought this one because I read the reviews and someone mentioned it was easy. The most difficult part of the process had nothing to do with the jump starter. I had to go online to find out where the positive and negative parts of my battery were located as it's not obvious on the C300. Once I connected the jump starter, the car started instantly. I was so proud of myself and excited that it worked! After jump starting the car, the jump starter registered from 100 to 4. I took the car to get the emissions done where they turned it off. The car did not start so we hooked the jump starter to it, and it actually started again. They turned the car off again. We used the jump starter once more, and it actually started the car for a third time!! It almost didn't want to, but it did. I HIGHLY recommend this jump starter. You never know when you'll be in a situation where you don't have a second car to get a jump from... Or in my situation, the front of the car where the battery was too far into the garage where another car couldn't get close enough to reach to do a jump.
