Description

The Avalon Hot/Cold Water Cooler is made with innovation and style. The easy- to-use paddle spouts make it so much more convenient to use. Simply press your cup against the paddle to let the flow of water to come out. The machines highly efficient compressor makes the cold water crisp and ice cold at approximately 47° F without the need of adding ice cubes to your drink. The hot faucet is hot enough to cook one's tea or coffee or any other steaming hot beverage at approximately 185° F. Due to the extremely hot water, we’ve added a child safety lock on the hot water faucet. The dimensions are 11.25x10.75x42 inches. Another update: the second one I gif from them started to make noises that were loud and not normal. They are in the process of sending a different unit out. Fingers crossed. Updated: I finally got through to customer support although I was only able to get there via a corporate email I was able to locate. They have quickly replaced the unit so I’m updating the review as I said I would. I purchased this cooler several years ago and we have been using it and have been overall pretty pleased. But over the past year or so I’ve noticed that the metal plate that’s underneath where the water bottle sits keeps freezing up periodically. I have to unplug it and allow it to thaw which temporarily solves my problem. Then the problem returns within a few weeks. This is a manufacturer’s flaw and should be covered as mentioned in their literature. Also, the plastic tip (that punctures the water bottle) broke off and isn’t as effective staying in place and it blocks the water flow slowing it down. I have tried for many weeks to reach the company support. I called and was referred to leave online statements or emails by an automated message. So I have emailed many times, left online customer support contacts, even tried to reach home office. There I was told to forward my emails to them and they’d get back to me on that same day. Guess what? They didn’t. I’m not impressed. And I’m irritated because this should not be freezing up like it is. And my reaching out to the company should be addressed professionally. So in turn this affects my rating for this item. If they resolve these issues I’ll update my rating. ... show more

We were spending a lot of money on water bottles and the bottles were everywhere. We decided to look into investing in a water cooler for the house and we didn't want an expensive company to come out and deliver. This was much cheaper and it works great. The original cooler stopped working after a few months. I contacted the mfg and received a reply the same day. I was given some suggestions in an attempt to resolve, none of which worked. The cooler was replaced with a new one in about a week. I am so impressed with such a responsive company. This is a rarity in today's world.
