  • good pressure washer with great build quality
Style: P50 Engine + Extra Large Bundle
Just got this today and washed a vehicle with it. I was amazed at how good everything feels, you can tell they put in a lot of effort into quality. the foam cannon did a great job. not disappointed at all with this purchase.

  • Plug and play
Style: P50 Engine + Extra Large Bundle
Has everything you need and it comes with a built-in hose reel. This is one of the best electric pressure washers on the market. The plastics may look flimsy and weak however, it's very sturdy and reliable.

  • If you have the correct hose then this is a great washer
Style: P50 Engine + Extra Large Bundle
I had the wrong hose :(. I initially had trouble with losing pressure after a few minutes use. The pressure would drop to almost nothing and the sprayer would just squirt water out slowly. A few minutes later it would work again. The instructions said to use a half inch hose which was what I used. But that did not supply enough water apparently. I had already started the return process when I decided to try a larger 3/4" hose before sending it back. That resolved the issue. The spray is strong enough to wash the siding on a two story structure, though I did stand on a 5' step ladder to do the peak and the upper windows. It was much slower washing mold/algae off a vinyl fence which I ended up using a foam mop to speed things along. Even at the narrowest setting there's no way the pressure is anywhere close to psi, though I knew that before I bought it. ... show more

  • Clearly the "Maybach" of electric pressure washers
Style: P50 Engine + Extra Large Bundle
This new AVA electric pressure washer from Norway arrived only a few hours before we were leaving on a 10 day cruise so I only had time to briefly unbox it and fondle the various components. The cruise was delightful, but I was most eager to get back home and play with this exciting new pressure washer. I have had pressure washers for years and currently have a rather beastly gas powered unit, a relatively inexpensive electric unit and even a battery powered siphon unit for smaller jobs. I have always suggested that new users start off with an entry level (~<$125) electric unit with a long wand and use it until they become familiar with the process and respect for the power and potential damage it can do. If they find them useful, then they can move up to the “big boys” and keep the initial unit for the wife to use on the patio furniture. This is not meant to be a “sexist” remark, but is generally the evolution I have witnessed. When I got an opportunity to evaluate this deluxe pressure washer that was not made in China, I jumped at the chance to see and use probably one of the best designed and built units from a highly respected member of the EEA. This unit comes with most of the commonly used accessories and generally adequate lengths of electrical cord and pressure hose. This unit is very well designed and manufactured and is very heavy-duty and should hold-up for at least the 10 years they warrant it for. But being heavy duty has its down side in that everything is quite heavy as well. The unique wand assembly weights almost 3 times as much as the average weight of several wands I currently have, which may lead to fatigue sooner if used for long periods of time. When I said the wand was unique it is because it is expandable in length, which I have not seen before. The wand attaches to the gun using a proprietary connection system and the wand has a standard 1/4” quick connect on the end to accommodate standard nozzles. However, when you are using a foam cannon to wash a vehicle, you generally want to use the gun only without the wand. Unfortunately you can't do that with the supplied components, but AVA has the necessary adapter on their US website for $15, but it was out of stock at this writing. I think that this part should definitely be part of the kit. The gun itself is very nice with safety locks and a auxiliary trigger that keeps the pressure on with almost no grip pressure. The surface cleaner unit is a little smaller than some of the commercial units, but is probably sized about right for this power unit. It is a “reaction floating” type and you need to make sure that it is in motion before you pull the trigger and apply pressure. Unlike most any other similar device I have seen, I was able to download a detailed parts list and diagram from the AVA website for the entire unit, which should be handy if I ever need replacement parts. Actually, because I have the parts list readily available, I will probably never need to use it. When it comes to the economics of spending much more money for a truly quality product, that is generally a purely personal choice and circumstance. To use a vehicle analogy, both a KIA Soul and a Maybach will get you from one place to another in relative safety and comfort, but there are some that can afford either, but only want the latter, and others that may be hard pressed to afford the former. If you can afford and want probably the best electric pressure washer on the market, then this AVA unit should be on your very short list. From my experience, even the entry level units, if properly cared for like making sure the pump is purged before winter storage, will last 5 or more seasons of single household use. When they do crap out, you just get the latest model with any possible improvement in the technology. This is kind of how the automotive industry worked up until about 3 decade ago, when they finally started to design vehicles that would last a dozen or more years. These longer lasting vehicles were initially more expensive, but if you kept the car longer, the yearly cost was about the same or even less. I think that this is what AVA is trying to do for pressure washers. I am a product design engineer and have a fairly good eye for high quality design and fabrication and there is little doubt in my mind that if you do your part to take care of your tools and not abuse them, then this system could last a lifetime, which may be longer than you would like if you are the type to wants the latest and greatest. Keep in mind that in the early days, the technology was constantly changing and improving, but in the last few years, maybe decade, the only significant changes have been with the accessories like surface cleaners and foam canons, both of which are included in this AVA kit. The basic power units have been relatively unchanged. I have not had the opportunity to ring this unit out completely, but just playing around it performs nicely but I certainly don't need to go to the gym after using the wand for any length of time. I will try and get the part to allow me to use the foam cannon with the gun only and update this report when I have logged more time with it. Bottom line is that my neighbor has been gifted an almost new electric pressure washer and I have added a magnificent AVA unit to my stable. ... show more

  • Excellent design and attention to detail!
Style: P50 Engine + Extra Large Bundle
I have large pressure washer but this looked like a good portable solution to have around. I havent heard of this brand but I am extremely impressed with the attention to detail that went into the design of this unit. Pros: - very compact and with built in hose reel (!) - everything feels high quality, good connections and ergonomics - attention to details like the sprayer handle, you don't need to use full grip pressure to keep it spraying as it has a smaller inset lever that only requires one finger to keep it engaged. This is a MASSIVE benefit over my big box sprayer that requires full pressure (or a strap) to keep it going - onboard storage for the tips, the wand, the hose, the cord, the foamer, etc. - good cleaning power - easy to store - built to be serviceable and repairable - solid warranty (10 yrs) I got the full bundle and it also came with driveway cleaner attachment that is about the size of a dinner plate, haven't tried this yet but it's also the only part I cant figure out how to attach to the case and store it. Honestly everything else neatly stores on the unit itself (really good design to keep clutter down). We have a parrot that's pretty messy and the first task was to clean the bird cage as this is hard to do with wipes and scrubbing. Using the circular spray attachment this was super quick and with minimal back-spatter, the pressure washer did a great job in knocking bird dropping off the grates and metal (see before and after pics). Overall I'm very impressed with the design and build quality of this unit, especially as I've compared to others I own and this is a lot easier to manipulate, store and keep organized. Only caveat is when I went to register for the warranty using their QR code, it did not have the USA listed as an available country (?!?). So I could not complete the warranty registration for my unit... not sure if that means it's not valid or they just haven't updated it yet. This may be an oversight and hopefully AVA can fix this problem because for a brand I've never heard of, this is a very well-done, premium unit and I would definitely recommend it. ... show more
