We have a Jura at our main house that was over $2000. It works well, and we love espresso, so we wanted something like it at our summer house. This machine works well for that. It is brutally easy to use, just add beans, water, and mike, and fire it up. It takes a minute or two (tops) to warm up. I did all my tests with Starbucks French Roast beans. I set the bean grind to the finest grind. First, I tested a single espresso, which came out at exactly 1 ounce. Nice crema, and great flavor. Mix in a packet of sugar, and great coffee. Next, double espresso, which came out at just over 2 ounces. Same nice crema and great flavor. Then, I tried the Americano, which came out at 6 ounces. It also was excellent. The next day, I hooked up the milk attachment and made a cappuccino, which came out at 8 ounces, and a latte, also 8 ounces. The cappuccino starts with dispensing the foam first, then hits it with the espresso (the left coffee in my photo). Then, I tried the latte. The latte does the espresso first, then the steamed milk, for a more mixed look (right coffee in the photo). Each was excellent, though I preferred the cappuccino. Using 2 packets of sugar in each, they were excellent, and every bit as good as the Jira. When I finished each daily use, I emptied the mile dispenser and filled it with clean water, then hit the clean button. It cleaned out the maker and ran steam and water through the mile foamer to clean it out as well. I did not need to do any further washing. Very easy to use. Everything is driven by a single button selection, so a lot easier than the Jira. For $700, this is a great way to have cappuccino/espresso/latte every day with minimal effort. There is currently a $50 coupon to make it $650, which is a must buy.

The media could not be loaded. Machine doesn’t froth milk, stream just pours out the sides and customer service doesn’t follow through. Don’t purchase! I was sold on the positive reviews and now I have to waste my time in returning this unit. Several typos in instructions manual too. If I could negative stars I would.

I was blown away by how easy it was to set up and use this coffee maker. The touchscreen controls are intuitive, and it brews a cup of coffee that’s as good as what you’d get at a high-end café. The milk frother is a fantastic bonus for lattes and cappuccinos.
