Context: My poor pre-teen nephew was sleeping on a wreck of a mattress. It was past time to get a good mattress for my favorite (and only) boy. The problem was the budget. This mattress' price tag was very reasonable, and the listing seemed to indicate that the qualities were what I wanted for him. Time to try it out. I have pics of the opening and inflating process. It comes tightly rolled in a large and quite heavy box. It's going to be a 2-man lift, a drag, or one very strong dude moving this around. (Our apologies to the delivery person) It's well wrapped in plastic and has a little cutter to get the plastic off. The plastic will expand with the mattress as it opens (see pics). Then you can use the safety cutter to get the plastic off without accidentally cutting the mattress itself. Remarkably, there was hardly any odor upon unrolling. We expected that foam-and-new-fabric smell at least, but there was only a faint generic "new" odor that dissipated quickly. The mattress inflates very quickly (it's not full of air like an air mattress, it just has all the air squeezed out to get it in the box). It is heavy enough and inflates quickly enough that I highly recommend that you unroll it in the room in which it will eventually be used. We left it over night to make sure it was as inflated as it was going to get and to allow it to off gas anything we couldn't smell. I'm not sure that was necessary, but it didn't hurt. The next morning, it was perfect. It's a thick mattress (see pic on the bed frame). It takes a fitted sheet with somewhat deeper pockets. The full size was perfect for my nephew (see said nephew plopped all over the installed mattress for size context). He slept on the mattress for 2 months before we did a final assessment of this product. Since he was coming off a really bad mattress, we wanted to make sure he got used to the new one and got a good feel for how it sleeps. As we predicted, the first week was terrible. Aches and pains and no sleep. It improved rapidly as the week drew to a close, and by the 5th or 6th day, it was luxurious, soft, and he slept like a baby. His parents also noticed that while hanging out with him before bed, it was much more comfortable to recline on for them as well. Mattress claims: Topped with soft material that is skin friendly: Absolutely. It makes you want to roll around on the surface and just feel how soft it is. Excellent support, motion isolation: 100% yep. A person can be asleep on it and another person can sit on the mattress or the dog can jump up and the sleeping person will never even know. Once you get used to the fact that it's a better mattress, the support is excellent and there are no "hot spots." Temperature is regulated for a comfortable sleep: Yes. Even in the hot summer, the sleep is very comfortable for temperature. No wake-ups from sweating and trying to find the cool place on the mattress. Is the mattress basically awesome and comfortable to sleep on? That is a resounding yes. Two months (not including that first adjustment week) and his parents report that getting him OUT of the bed first thing in the morning is now the hard part, and the kinks and other aches from the previous mattress are completely gone. It's soft, comfortable, and otherwise provides a great night's sleep. Highly recommend.

This is a really comfortable full-size mattress, I would consider it medium firm but still soft. It seems very well-made and I really do love the mattress in a box concept because I can get it shipped to my house very easily. It should take 24 hours or so to decompress, but mine only took about 10 hours and I was sleeping on it that night.

We went from all memory foam to this mattress. The mattress expanded to fill shape and size pretty fast. Little- no off gassing which was great. It is comfortable but more on the medium firmness side than our previous memory foam. Is it heavier than other mattresses we have owned but seems to not be a problem for the bed slats it’s on.

The mattress feels like a high-quality hotel bed right at home. I love the built-in carrying handles, which make moving the mattress much easier given its weight... something I wish more mattresses had! I managed to set it up by myself, and it expanded quickly and easily. Feels like magic! The bed seems durable and long-lasting. After sleeping on it for a few days, my back felt great.
