This galvanized metal poultry feeder has been a great addition to our backyard chicken setup. Even in damp, cold conditions, the feed has stayed dry and clump-free, which is key to keeping the chickens healthy and avoiding waste. The four-port system is well designed, keeping the feed inside the feeder and off the ground, which has made a huge difference in cleanup. This has a really good intelligent design. It is easy to assemble and all one piece once assembled - that was an issue with a previous model input on pasture over the summer. Since the lid is slanted I have fewer birds trying to roost on it- so less poop on the lid and down the sides. I like so very much that the lid is attached- no danger of it falling off or landing in poop- no handles to slowly have bolts back out and fall off- just lift and refill. So far this is water tight it keeps the food fresh and has helped reduce feeding to once daily. This is a great addition to a homestead or backyard chicken operation.

Very flimsy compared to other metal feeders I have gotten, and it's about half the size of others I have in this style as well. Good for younger birds, but is too high for quail. Easy enough to assemble, but even fully tightened up, it still feels kinda flimsy and thin overall. Sharp edges on the legs so be aware of that. Latch is cheap, but does keep the lid closed, just not tightly and curious birds CAN peck at it and get it open. It's not hard for them to fiddle with and get unhooked. It'll work fine for what it is, but I would not get it again and wouldn't recommend it. There's better options out there for the same price range.

Had some issues with mice in my coop, so I picked this feeder up hoping to cut down on the free buffet. Jury’s still out on how much it’ll scare off the rodents long term, but I’ll say this, it’s built right. The galvanized steel feels solid, the lid closes tight, and the ports keep most of the feed inside instead of all over the ground. The 25 lb capacity is handy too, I’m not out there dumping feed in it every day. I like the four-port setup because multiple birds can eat at once without fighting or kicking half of it out. The lid and covered openings do a good job keeping rain off the feed, and being up off the ground helps with moisture and some of the critter problems. If nothing else, it’s a sturdy, clean way to feed chickens, and miles better than an open pan that every mouse in the county can crawl into.

The media could not be loaded. This was easy to assemble- I had my 10yo do it for me, and he handled it fine by himself. The feeder holds about half a bag of the IFA mash, which is plenty for us, since we only have two old hens left. When they say “no waste design”, my girls say “challenge accepted” and proceed to make a mess, but it’s better than it could be, haha. I like that you can easily plug or unplug each port depending on your needs. I think I’ll still need to keep it semi sheltered because we get basically horizontally snow and rain storms, so if water gets into it, that will cause a lot of issues. I like that it has carrying handles, because I prefer to fill the feeder in the shed and then carry it to the run. My previous feeder had legs that kept falling off, which made that a pain, but this one is great for that. I will continue to monitor it over winter and see how it does over time, but I don’t anticipate any unexpected issues.

This is a nice 25lbs Chicken Feeder. I like the fact that it comes with a latch. The last one we owned did not come with a latch on the lid and occasionally would get knocked off. This is especially important if you have it placed where it isn’t under a roof. That way the feed doesn't end up getting all moldy. The galvanized coated seems well done. The feeder holes are at just the right height for chickens. You can close the feeder holes at night, so you don’t have any rodent problems. While it only holds ½ a bag of feed this is a perfect size if you have multiple setups, because you can split the bag if needed.
