Pros: This is a really nice feeder and holds a lot of food. It is durable and holds up to weather without letting water in, while being lightweight. Cons: This was rather confusing to put together and I had to undo it many times to get it right. I also don’t like the design of the lid, you have to put it on just right for it to fit and clip each time you fill the food. I think it would have been better to have the clips on each end or something. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I was excited about being able to put large amounts of feed in this feeder. It had been doing fine, I thought, however, I was letting the feed get low so I could put in a new type of feed. I went to empty the remaining feed and in the bottom it looked like clods of dirt and then I saw things moving in the dirt. The bottom was full of maggots. You could see where it apparently leaked and somehow, flies must have gotten inside. The metal bends easily so it’s possible they found an opening. It’s too late to return and it was not cheap. Now I have to buy a different feeder. Won’t buy a metal feeder like this again!! ... show more

There still is a little wast. The girls do clean it up though. I love that it fits about 100 lbs of feed. It took a little time to put together. But it wasn't hard to do. I put the wire things you use to keep birds from nesting in your eaves. It helps keep the girls off the top for the most part.
