I have a wild cat that lives in my barn and she got into an interior room and had some kittens a while back and somehow blocked her entrance so she lost a couple of them. I found them by the smell some time later. :( Since then, I have left the door propped open, but the wind and elements are now taking over the room so this door works great! I never know if she is going to go back in that room or not, but now if she does and gets trapped, it wont be but till daybreak and the door will open and she can get out that way. The door is really quiet when it operates and is quick. I tested the blockage setting with my hand and it didnt require much pressure to stop the door and for it to retract. It will wait a few seconds and try closing again. It has a decent amount of cord and looks common enough to purchase another extension if needed. The setup was pretty easy. I left it on the standard setting and didnt do the timer setting. Everything is controlled from the solar panel back. The door just opens and closes and had a LED light on it showing its state as it works. Its easy to install, the hardest part is cutting a hole in a perfectly good door! haha

We've always went out each morning/night to open our coop and sometimes it's forgotten or we aren't home so they dont get out or put up until later. It can be ALOT to remember and exhausting and definitely not fun in rain/snow storms. I'm sooo glad I found this! The automatic light sensor (sunrise/sunset) & remote are so nice and such a relief. Also love the fact that this rolls up and not one that lifts straight up. I've also seen many others have numerous holes in the door which defeats the purpose of keeping them warm in my opinion as winter months can be brutal, so nice that this one is without holes. The instructions are surprisingly nice and detailed making it easily understandable. The remote is more generic than I feel it should be, could definitely be of better quality, hopefully it'll hold up, but doesn't take away from all the other nice features of this door.

So I do like how The frame is made out of metal. It seems very durable. The reason I can’t give it a five star is because of the anti-pinch. I tested it with my hand and the door did not re-open and with knowing that it could not open properly with a chicken crossing it as my hand would have more pressure.

This is been installed for about a week and a half. We've had a bad ice and snow storm and the door has not failed to open and close. It saved me multiple trips out to my chicken house I wish I had this a long time ago! It was very easy to install took about one day for my chickens and ducks to figure it out I like the fact it has a timer My ducks usually go in a little later than the chickens and the remote control is awesome. So far there is nothing about this product I do not like I highly recommend

Easy to set up like all the other roller doors, a few screws if you have a frame already in, and we just hang the solar pannel on a screw and it works just fine so long as its pointed south. Stays charged and works like a dream, way better then the one door that the full door has to go all the way up. Would buy again!

I got this to replace another style that is exposed on top when it's open. I had a snowstorm come in and ice up the door, since it was exposed the water went inside and froze the motor gears. I had to warm it up and get it going to close, if I hadn't checked on the roosters they would have been cold all night. This one fit on the same hole as the previous one, and the door is rolled up inside and protected from the weather. I like the multiple options for power and the remote, although I probably won't use the remote. This is a well designed and well made chicken door. I will report back after the next snow storm and let you know if the ice prevents it from closing. Hopefully this one is better protected and better designed.
