It is struggling to open. I think the gears are plastic and wearing off already. It only opens 1 inch, then on the second try 3 inches. Then I have to manually help it up with my hand.

The media could not be loaded. It’s made of metal. It responds if a chicken is in the way. It was very easy to install and I love it that I can use rechargeable batteries rather than solar, because I wanted to avoid problems if the weather is bad. shipping was fast and my girls are very happy.

This door was delivered quickly, it was a fast and easy installation. Very easy to set the time, open and close times. It is very quiet and our chickens got used to it quickly!
