Sturdy, easy to install, and reliable automatic chicken coop door. It has been installed and working perfectly for approximately 2 months , even during the very cold days (I bought in late December). The opening is large enough even for large chicken breeds. There are three open/close settings: L-L (Dusk to Dawn - the one we use), L-T (Light to Timer) and T-T (Timer to Timer). Overall my experience so far with this door: great price, good quality, reliability, easy to install and intuitive control settings. Great door! It's sturdy metal, easy to install, and functions wonderfully! I was skeptical of the solar charger for the battery, but it's been keeping the battery charged even on these short and gloomy midwest winter days. Some reviewers have questioned how it would function in cold temps. We had several days around -15 F, and mine functioned flawlessly. I often change the time that I want it to open based on weather expectations for the day, and I love that it's super quick and simple to change the settings. I've heard a lot of complaints from fellow chicken owners about their doors not working well, so I was skeptical about getting one. I've had no problems at all, and I'm so glad that I purchased this! The solar panel design for charging it is perfect.No worrying about running electric. works well for all my chickens, they can fit right in and out of it! It comes with a remote so the door can be light sensitive, or directly on the door you can set it for a time to shut and a time to open each day! It was easy to install and works perfectly. It can be solar powered or the battery can be charged. We are using the solar feature, so I can’t speak to how long the battery lasts, but the with the solar option, we don’t even worry about it! It comes with a remote control but it also has a timer so you can decided when to have it open and close! The timer is set using a 24 hour clock so it’s super easy to know that it is set correctly for opening and closing.
