I've only had it installed for about a week but it has worked flawlessly so far. The existing opening on my coop was too large so I used a piece of plywood and cut it to fit the door. Solar cord is plenty long enough to reach the roof and the door has stayed fully charged so far. I am very impressed with the remotes range. I can operate the door from inside my home through obstacles at 150 feet away. It seems well made and shipping was fast. Easy to install and looks good. Anti pinch function works great.     • Reliable coop door with easy setup
If I could give this more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The remote is solid and well-built, not cheap or flimsy like others I’ve tried. The door itself slides open and shut with ease, runs quietly, and hasn’t jammed once. The timer is spot-on, and the solar option works just as smoothly. Setup was fast, adjustments are simple, and everything feels reliable. This door has taken all the stress out of managing my coop.     • Instructions are terrible, but door works fine.
Four star due to instructions. A couple of things, instructions are horrible, very hard to understand. This made setting the timer difficult to understand. Every time you set something or make a change to the setting, the door will open. Weird. First day after I was able to set the timer, the door closed on time. Set a morning alarm for myself to make sure the door opened in the morning...it did, thankfully. I will monitor it again over the next few days, just don't trust the timer yet. The other thing is, I had to make a triple wood thickness backing for it. The opening to the coop door is thicker than I thought. Other than that, it works fine so far. ... show more

Installed one of these on each of my chicken houses and they work great! Installation was easy. Instructions for the digital display and setup weren't very well written, but figured it out eventually. I am using the timer mode and preset the opening and closing times and it works perfectly. Real test will be this winter, but I am hopeful. Has really made things easier for me and eliminated the stress of worrying whether or not I opened or closed the chicken houses. ... show more

So far so good. Easy to install. Love that it doesn't have batteries and uses solar. Love the remote control feature. this is my 2nd auto door for my coop the first one (another brand) didn't hold up in the Texas Winter, and recently the LCD screen went blank, and the door closed and luckily i was home that day because it locked my momma hen with only one of her babies in the coop with no water. I knew then i immediately needed to get a different door. so i will definitely update this review if anything happens but so far its working like a charm. ... show more

This door is never reliable!! It will work right for 2 days and then it won’t open up. Even with the remote or manual button, it won’t open. Then, if you unplug it, replug it, it will work correctly for 2 MAYBE 3 days, then it won’t open for love or money. You buy this so that if you happen to be gone, your chickens are safe, but if you can’t trust it, what good is it!! It will be returned. 😡 ... show more

I really like this automatic chicken door. It’s sturdy, reliable, and the solar panel is amazing, no need to worry about wiring or batteries. Not one of those cheap solar panel. I’ve charged my phone with it. The remote is a nice bonus, but honestly, once you set it up, it just does its job.
