The door did not come with thorough install instructions but if you are handy, you can figure it out. The only limitation is the length of the cord for the solar part to be installed. We have it installed in a semi shaded area and it seems to be holding up and working great. The programming on that unit took some deciphering but really easy to use once you get hang of it. I hope that unit lasts. It is only been a week and doubt they sell the part for replacement. However, for the price - if it lasts a season or two, still worth it as it is cheapest I have seen. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking for one.

It’s been a couple weeks installed and this door has been through several very cold nights and it is working very well. I’m happy with it so far. It was easy to install. I like how it’s solar powered. I decided to use the manual setting so I can’t speak for the light setting. For the manual setting you have to actually open and close it at the times you want the door to open and close. So I had to wake up early one time to set the ‘open’ time but it opens every morning now at that time. Pretty nice automatic coop door if you’re not looking for anything too fancy.

Los primeros días funcionó bien pero no tardó ni 2 meses empezó abrir ala mitad y no cerraba y ahora ya no abre nada y esta es la segunda que compro creo que no vale la pena gastar en esta puerta

I have 2 of these, on 2 different coops. Work fairly well, but I have mine set on sunrise/sunset and they can be a sensitive to light if not in a full view of the sun.

I allowed my rating to have 2 stars because the manual mode does work at least but we have had nothing but issues with these doors otherwise. We ordered 2. Neither remote works and we tried setting up for them to open and close at dusk and dawn but one opens in the middle of the night and one closes in the middle of the afternoon. I purchased these to make it more convenient to let them out when I went to work. Also important to note, ducks are too chubby to go through the opening.

Really easy to use but I wish the instructions were a little bit better tfun. How to have the system set for the door to open the morning and close at night. But my chickens love it. I feel more secure if I am running late.
