Now, sometimes the sun isn't quite enough in the shortest winter days, but they can be charged manually every few days which is huge. It is wider than most Chicken coop doors. I use it for my duck hutch under my chicken coop. I love the design. I needed a roll up for the limited head room needed to raise a flat door. I have mine set to light sensing mode. It operates at dawn and dusk perfectly.

I bought this back in May of last year and it worked wonderful and then before the end of 2024 the pump went out on me so I just started using it as a regular water bowl but then I saw the sticker on the back of it about the 2 year warranty so I messaged the seller towards the beginning of this month and didn’t hear back from them so I messaged them once again and still haven’t heard back from them. The pump didn’t even last a whole year which is very disappointing and I also cleaned it regularly like you were supposed to. I’m highly disappointed in this product. ... show more

This is my second door same brand. In warm sunny weather it worked flawlessly. Now that it’s getting colder it does not hold a charge and does not open all the way in the morning. I keep it plugged in all the time. It is very easy to use and I like the open and close features on the solar panel.

I'm using two of these so far , one for the chicken coop , and 1 for the nesting box working great the only thing is you have to set the time by the exact time that you want the door to open or close. For instance, if you want the door to close at 8 PM, you have to set the door at 8 PM and soforth.

I bought this at the end of August and was just able to put it in this weekend and this is a horrible product. I’ve had three solar panel chicken doors and this is by far the worse. It worked the first two days barely, and now it’s m stuck with a whole in the side of my hen house ans no door. It has been fully solar charged for days and will not open not even with the remote.
