I work in auto body and these scan tools are pretty much mandatory anymore. I got tired of always having to borrow one so I did some research on these ones and decided to try it out. It's worked on every vehicle iv connected it to including brand new 2024 GM and Toyota vehicles which I commonly work on. I can diagnose easily any system that is having trouble codes and I can control any module in the vehicle to actively test them such as Windows or door locks or even convertible tops with what ever sensors available telling me what they are currently doing. Great tool and naturally depending on manufacturer of the vehicle will depend on how friendly it is to find what you need but if you do enough work in the automotive field you know where to look for what you need. Iv compared it to a scan tool that values at over $8000 and this scanner was able to do most everything that one could. I would have had to go up to the next model to truly match the expensive one but it has features I dont actually need such as programming tpms, but it is nice to know that is available if I needed it. But worth the price for what it is capable of. The last note is it is also capable of wifi printing the reports which is a huge bonus for my work. They look professional and they are easy to read and you can even set up the header for your company and contact information. You can even set it up so that the customer information is available and attached to each work order that you scan. All you need is a wifi printer attached to the same wifi as your scanner and that's it to set it up to print reports. ... show more

    • Excellent tool for the price point
This scanner has what you need as a tech without a factory scan tool. You can read all the data monitors which is the main thing I need. I really prefer the Autel interface over the snap-on tools and launch tools. The bidirectional stuff works pretty decent. I use it to reset all the oil lights on European stuff. The record function works better than the Nissan OEM scanner. I have beat this tool up, the screen is strong, the scratches that it gets have not hurt my ability to read or use the touch screen. The Bluetooth VCI is specifically useful for finding vacuum leaks where you want to be watching the RPMs closely while you move around and spray water or throttle body cleaner. It is also very useful for things like evap testing. Put something on the Bluetooth VCI so you don’t forget it, something that would be noticeable when you try to use the pedals, like a lanyard. Also don’t always scan all the modules, you will end up pausing it when you realize there are always 20 past codes for a voltage drop 4 months ago. ... show more

Ordered the MK808BT Pro to scan our small fleet of vehicles. Had an old cheap CenTech ( Innova ) that would only read codes. I couldn't update it at all, no support for it anymore. This Autel is night and day better. Software is easy to update and use. So far I've used it on a 2003 Silverado 2500 & a 2016 Silverado 1500. Its nice to have the ability to activate sensors, motors, etc... . Special functions and live data works great too. Bi- directional capability at this price point is a game-changer. I got the MV108 Inspection Camera as a bonus when I ordered the MK808BT Pro. Works great too!! I was able to check under my intake plenum to look for chewed wires. Glad I went with Autel. Customer Support responds quick ( some others didn't at all ). They release updates every month & are easy to do. Very happy with my purchase!! ... show more

I have three late model Porsche's and it works great on all of them. 18' Macan, 718 Cayman, 991.2 911. Used only for resetting oil at this point, but checked for any codes as well. What I liked most is the UI. Very simple and intuitive to navigate and especially love how it automatically recognizes the VIN. And of course the Bluetooth capability. Very convenient. In comparison the iCarsoft fells like 1990 technology, very clunky. Mine quit working so I threw it out and got this Autel. Love it. Though I wish there was lifetime updates for free. ... show more

    • Great Scanner for DIYers and Professional
This scanner is great, not only does it perform the basic tasks such as reading/clearing check engine lights or reading live data but you can scan all the computers on the CAN bus and check/clear troubles that you would not see normally with a cheap scanner or a Bluetooth obd 2 adapter. You can run active tests on most systems in the vehicle, program keys into the immobilizer, and a lot more. This scanner also comes with a shop manager program built in , so if your like me and do some automotive side work , you can save the vehicle your diagnosing/repairing along with customer information , and service intervals. I've only had it for a short time but even the few cars that i've used this on are stored as well as the fault codes that were present at the start of the diagnosis so i can look back and see when certain problems were fixed and what specific problems were present at the time. Overall this product is well worth the money especially with the wireless obd2 connection as i can watch/record live data as im under the hood adjusting /testing different components. ... show more

I cannot say enough good things about the seller, Autelonline. Initially I thought that just one of the clasps for the protective case was damaged either in the warehouse or in shipping and they immediately sent a replacement no questions asked. Great communication and incredibly courteous. Amazon had actually re-sold a scanner that was returned after someone used it, registered it, and kept some components. Six months of the year of updates was expended. The seller was incredibly understanding and accommodating and I readily purchased another from them. The new one came wrapped in a silver plastic bag so if yours isn't, be wary and immediately contact the seller if you see a different email when you go to update the software. That being said, this is a great scan tool for a DIYer. It has amazing functionality that allows you to do way more than you can with just a code reader.
