The MaxiSys MS909 will not disappoint. Every function that a DIYer or auto technician would reasonably perform can be done with it. It is high end, rugged, purpose built. It’ easy to navigate. The accompanying VCI is an awesome compliment to this tool. It is versatile; tablet (MaxiSys MS909) & VCI, PC & VCI, whatever configuration the automaker allows; you will be able to get the job done. Although Autel may have designed it for Mercedes and or BMW I used it on 2 of my pre 2018 MOPAR/FCA and 1 post 2018 MOPAR/FCA vehicles. It is value for your money. The VCI is kind of bulky however it has the capability to act as a J2534 (programming ecus) Other than that best scanner I have used for many makes and models. The bi directional features on this scanner has more than snap on. On a MB E class was able to rewrite the treshold values for the tpms, and the snap on was not able to complete the task. Also on Ford vehicles with the GEM module had the bi directional features I needed to correctly diagnose the vehicle. Competitor tool didn't was not able to perform. I would highly recommend Autel products as I also have the ts501 which is also great. Excellent scanner for independent shops.

Works well but not for US market according to Autel help hotline. The tech expert doesn’t work and I had to buy a maxilink for another $1300 to program transmissions. Works great for every day diagnosing just don’t be surprised if some of the features don’t work

This is a lot more scanner than anybody but a professional needs. I’m just a serious tool junkie but I really like how it shows the topography of the car’s system and let you jump right where you want to go. It is big and it is heavy and extremely well made.

My shop was in the market for a new scanner, something that wouldn't break the bank but still has a lot of features. After reviewing a few options on Autel's store we ended up purchasing this one and it has not disappointed. So many features for the price, easy interface, and pretty quick too.
