The Autel MK900TS is a great scanner when working on various makes and models. I have using it on multiple cars at work and has came in hand. From live data to monitor different modules, tpms service function, active tests & etc. when doing brakes I used to have to take apart rear electronic parking brake to retract piston but now I save time by using the MK900TS scanner to put the vehicle into brake pad maintenance and just have to compress piston into caliper and it’s good to repair. There are many other features I have yet to occupy but at least I will have in hand when needed. Best purchase I could’ve made working in the automotive industry and for personal use and working on your own vehicles and or a side job every now and then.

The media could not be loaded. This tool outperforms simple scan readers and it reads and can clear codes for all 10 computer modules on my car. It gives both generic codes as well as dealer specific codes. In addition to that it has bidirectional ability! Didn't need computer flash programming so I got the next model down (The new MK906BT). This unit has same functions as the MS906BT except it allows for multiple languages with English being the default language. Also, I purchased the optional Maxiscope that works with this tablet. This unit has Bluetooth (BT at end of number) which allows me to use the unit outside the car. I can use the maxiscope and control the cars fuel injection system at the same time. Don't get confused with what Autel calls "Coding" which is their fancy word for customizing certain functions with the cars electrical system. My car has 4 systems that allow this. Before buying this tool if I wanted to change my door locks to all open with one push on the key transmitter button I would have to take the car to the dealer to make the changes. No more as I can do it myself with this tool! I like that this model has a small footprint so it fits easily on my car's fender area. I checked and can get phone support here in the US with this unit. And I can use the tablet's Wi-Fi for accessing any online wiring diagrams as I purchased a subscription to an online service manual for my car. I like that if ever I need to replace my engine computer I can purchase a less expensive "used one" and input my computer's VIN number into it using the tool so my car will start. As the car's immobilizer system checks for those details before allowing start up. And if I need to add a new key I believe this tool will set that up too. The MK906BT has a warranty with free updates for a year. But the battery is sealed in and cannot be replaced by me, so I opted for an extended warranty. After that time, if I need a new battery or updates I can buy an additional year warranty if I so decide? All in all I felt this was a great purchase for me!

Great tool, bidirectional is a must have. I have not used the tpms feature as of yet. My old autel had to be plugged in to the vehicle. This Bluetooth dongle is a valued upgrade. Definitely worth the price.

This is as far up the chain as any home mechanic should ever need. Autel is the higher end brand, so it's products are a bit expensive. However, you always get what you pay for, so for tools you want to last a long time, go with the more expensive brand. Subscription based updates aren't the greatest but as long as you only update when you absolutely have to (after the free trial) it's an excellent deal. It is a bit of a learning curve if your not experienced with Autel products but it's simple enough to find guides. All-in-all it's a great buy and so long as you take care of it, it's probably gonna last a long while.
