These shoes are extremely comfortable, They have a woven upper that is airy and an EVA insole (ethyl vinyl acetate) that is commonly found in midsoles of athletic shoes for shock absorption. It is very soft and flexible. The MD midsole is EVA combined with rubber compounds and provides durability and traction. All I know is the first time I put these on there was a slight bounce to my steps, the inner sole cushioned my foot and then felt like it was pushing my foot back up as I took a step with the other foot. It was a very comfortable feel that I suspect will reduce fatigue, especially if on your feet for a long period. I buy a lot of inexpensive shoes from Walmart and the like, but over many years I have worn Florsheim, Church's (England) an other more expensive brands. For $43 these shoes exhibit a level of comfort I never had with the inexpensive shoes and while I cannot compare them to what Church's dress oxfords were like (apples to oranges), I can say these feel as good as a $90+ pair of Sketchers. I had also forgotten some of the features of these Bruno Marc walking shoes since I had ordered them.I was pleasantly surprised as I tried them out. They have elastic laces and a counter (a stiff back end) so you can actually slip your feet into them without using a shoe horn. You only need to pull on the loop attached to the tongue if your foot sliding in has pushed the tongue forward. I am no shoe expert, but have been wearing them for 70 years and can count on one hand the number of very comfortable shoes I have encountered, This rather inexpensive Bruno Marc is another very comfortable specimen in my collection!

If you are willing to look past the two caveats that I listed in my review headline (and I am), these could be perfect shoes for you. They are comfortable and breathable, and because of the "integrated" elastic laces they are easy to put on and take off. This brings me to the first of my caveats: The elastic laces aren't just pre-laced into the shoes, they are what I'm calling "integrated". What I mean is that they seem to be shaped in a closed loop and can't be adjusted. I can't find any end-points to them. If I want to add some slack to how they are laced (and I do), there's no way to do that. My guess is that my only option is to cut them, remove them, and replace them with another pair. Most people will probably be perfectly happy with the laces the way they are, but if you have feet on the wide side, or if you just occasionally want to wear your shoes "floppy" or "super tight" then do figure you'll need to buy an extra pair of laces for these shoes. The other caveat that I have about these shoes is that whenever I pull them off, the insoles come partially out. The good news there is that the insoles are easily replaceable, ie. they aren't glued in place. I'm not sure everyone will share this issue - it could be that it's happening to me because the fit starts off slightly tight and my feet sweat a lot in the Summer.

I was skeptical of ordering a brand of shoes that I know nothing about, but I am really happy with these shoes. They are exceptionally comfortable, and they fit very well. They easily accommodate my wide foot, are ultra lightweight, and the mesh fabric makes them very breathable. But even with the comfort features, the styling is still really nice. I could easily wear these in both casual and dressier environments, and not feel out of place. Very satisfied with these shoes.

I am so pleased with these hands-free Bruno Marc shoes, and with the co. that sells them. I've been successfully wearing another brand of handsfree shoes, as my back issues prevent me from reaching down to get into my shoes, but liked the looks of the Bruno Marcs even better; but when the opening of the first pair I tried seemed too narrow to get my foot in, the co. was kind enough to send me these; and they not only fit perfectly but are also very stylish and appear to be well-made and of good quality. In addition, for the possible benefit of others I will pass on a trick I learned: If the entry point seems too narrow on your first attempt, lay each shoe on its side, which gives you a much wider entry for each foot, then slide in that way while rolling your foot into position. After the first few entries, that trick will become unnecessary, as the entry thereafter stays open a little wider, so you can just slip into them in the usual way.

While these shoes appear to be laced, they’re more stylized and therefore do not require tying, which I am pleased with. They’re easy to slip on and off and are very comfortable. The first time wearing them I went for a two-to-three mile walk, mainly across roads, the local park and in-town and they were very comfortable - this is great given that they weren’t broken in yet. They have the equivalent, or perhaps even exceeding padding and comfort, comparable to shoes that I have added insoles to. They fit nicely and have a very sharp contrast. They’re stylish, so they can be worn either walking or just as casual wear shoes. Highly recommended.

Upon seeing them for the first time, I thought they looked more significant than my size. Comparing them to the ones I've been wearing, the white soles are larger and thicker. For that reason, they are more comfortable and stable. They look well made with good material. The slip-on ability is a real positive. I've never owned shoes that were easy to slip on and off, so I'm happy with the shoes and can highly recommend them.
