I did quite a bit of research on the MK808 series scanners and can share the following. Per Autel's websites, the MK808 Pro is for the US market. The MK808Z and MK808K are for global markets (BT just means a Bluetooth connection to the vehicle). However, per Autel's website, these 3 products are the same in every way. In fact, they are grouped together in their comparison charts. I did read that Autel provides these other model numbers for their authorized resellers to sell. The MK808S is also the same but does not have Bluetooth. MK808S-TS is actually different in that it adds TMPS functionality (it also uses Bluetooth). As for understanding which vehicles are supported, Autel's published information is out of date. Also, the US website vehicle database is different than their global website database. Even their listing of software updates was out of date and did not show a November 2024 update which the scanner itself listed. I was concerned whether 2023 Ford models are supported and it turned out that Ford is covered through 2024. Autel appears to update their scanner tools regularly (about 5-6 times per year). Since we get a year's worth of updates, I expect 2025 models will be included next year. UPDATE: I have a 2023 F150 with a 3.5 EcoBoost Gen2. When researching these, I wanted to know if the cylinder balance test was available but the tests are not specifically listed in Autel's vehicle database. So I used the Autel vehicle database and counted the number of Active Tests available for the MK808K-BT. It showed 10 for 2023, 14 for 2022, and 22 for 2021. Since these are all Gen14 F150's, the tests supported should be the same. This shows Autel rolls out the updates in steps. I then checked a 2019 Taurus (last year for this vehicle) with a 3.5 EcoBoost (Gen1). It shows 38 Active Tests. I then used my MK808K-BT on the Taurus and it does support the cylinder balance test. This again shows Autel rolls out the updates in steps. If this test is available on a 2021 or 2022 F150 (someone should know this), then it's coming in an update soon. And finally, I counted the number of Active Tests for my F150 but on the Autel high-end scanner MaxiSYS Ultra. It still showed 10 tests. This shows Autel gives the lower end scanners the same active test capabilities as the high end scanners.

I initially purchased to sync new key fobs to my Hyundai, and it worked perfectly for that task. I've since used it to read trouble codes and diagnose a variety of problems on my Hyundai, GMC, and Toyota. It's a good unit with a lot of features for a reasonable price. I'm glad I bought this unit, which was nerve wracking as there were so many options. The wireless feature is really nice also.

I have owned this for over a year now. So far no complaints. The only thing is if you do not update it this will not connect with most vehicles. It does require a annual renewal fee to access updates. But overall I am pleased with the product. I even used it to calibrate the rear camera on wifes Nissan.

Purchased this over a year ago and it has been a great addition to my vehicle maintenance toolbox. At this price point, intuitive and easy to navigate. It provides the ability to use AutoAuth which is necessary for FCA/Stellantis vehicles after 2017. It definitely has saved the purchase price maintaining and troubleshooting my stable of machines.

This scanner is great, I have been able to diagnose O2 sensors using the live data graph. I have also been able to retract rear electric brake calipers for pad replacement. This is a great tool to have!

Purchased this scanner for home use on my personal vehicle fleet, as well as family and friend vehicles as well. Basicly I went for the most optioned out scanner between autel and a few other brands within my price range. This scan tool definitely was the best bang for the buck, and I liked that a boriscope and battery load tester were option pieces. I do have the boriscope, and Its a quality piece that I would consider a mandatory add on, and it is cheaper than buying a seperate component to do the same thing. The battery load tester is definitely the next add on for me. All in all a nice and powerful scanner for the dollar spent.

Firstly, this diagnostic computer has great features. I need more than just check engine light codes for most carts, and cheap code readers usually only clear CEL codes. This device goes into most systems, for example, I was able to re-calibrate air suspension on a Range Rover. I used this almost every day for about 4-5 months. The battery was good for about an hour of work, but would not hold much charge overnight. No big deal, I just kept it charged. Then it would no longer stay charged, and finally it wouldn't even work if it was plugged in. I read online (should have done this before I bought it) about how the batteries in Autel devices frequently fail. I contacted Autel, and they said that this is a Chinese market model and they would not service it or sell any parts for it. Okay, so I wrote to the seller MOTORZONE through Amazon, and they wanted me to mail it to China at my cost, and they wanted me to declare it's value at $40.00 to avoid customs charges. No way. I called Amazon, and they referred me to Autel and MOTORZONE since it was over 90 days. Great. I found a video online of someone replacing the battery, so I figured "what have I got to lose?" Well, about $800.00, really. So I opened the device, got the specs and could not find a direct replacement in all of the internet. I did order (on Amazon) a battery to match 3.7V, but upgraded from the original 3200 mAH to 8000 mAH in hopes that it will hold a better charge. Lots of tiny Torx screws and some soldering later, it finally is working again. I would buy another Autel, but never from MOTORZONE. I would find a domestic seller that guarantees that it is a USA market model. And that honors the stated warranty hopefully.
