I did a decent amount of research, and this unit was the one that was generally suggested and up to date. The unit worked perfectly on my 2015 Audi A3 for disengaging the EPB to replace the rotors and brake pads, as well as for resetting the oil and maintenance alerts. It allowed me to save a significant amount of money.

This scanner is my most used tool in the shop. It took a little time to get everything setup and updated from the internet. I can now take photos, make invoices, and log customers vehicles without having to use a pc. It's all in one unit. I'm still learning all of the options that this unit goes into, we have only scratched the surface. It's easy to use, once you connect the cable and diagnosing the vehicle.

UPDATE: The seller reached out almost immediately and offered to replace the unit free of charge, despite the order falling outside Amazon’s return window. Excellent, swift service! —- ORIGINAL REVIEW: Died in less than a month. Used and worked great for a later model year Audi, but now refuses to power on (or hold a charge) with any of my power bricks/cables, including the charging cable that ships with the unit. Disappointed as I spent a lot of money on this Autel scan tool. Strongly regret my purchase.

In my case I needed to see the engine misfire history to diagnose several error codes root causes. One shop tried to sell me a new catalytic converter, another wanted to install all new ignition and injectors. With this tool I could tell it was a wiring problem that turned out to be a bad wiring connector. Saved me thousands in possible repair bills. I tried several other manufacturers that said their engine diagnostic tools would show me the data I needed, but I had to return them because these other tools couldn't see what I needed. The only other tool available was for over $5K, so the MX900 was a real bargain for me. The Autel tech support was virtual, but great.
