I decided to upgrade from a old battery tester with exposed wires to this gem! Easy to use and quick readings. It is everything I need to keep cars moving through my shop. Old school wasn’t bad but new school works better with the new school cars. I would recommend to anyone running a shop who needs accuracy and efficiency. The after action report is amazing because it takes a lot of the sales pitch for a new battery out of the picture when you can simply just show them the results and let that sell the job for you.     • Error in BT-506 vs BT-508 difference chart
I bought 3 Autel MaxiCOM MK900-BT and then decided to buy 3 Autel battery testers. The "BT" in MK900-BT stands for Blue Tooth. The last picture (chart) shows the differences between the BT-506 and the upgrade BT-508. The last entry on the chart says that the BT-508 is not compatible with the "smart scanners". I wanted to get the newer BT-508 but opted for the BT-506 because of that chart entry. It turns out the BT-508 may be compatible with the "smart scanners" that use the "Blue Tooth" interface. The BT-508 probably will not interface with the scanners that use a cable to communicate with the vehicle, but it is highly likely that the smart scanners with blue tooth can work with the BT-508. Be sure to check with AUTEL when making your choice. The odd thing is that the BT-506 uses the blue tooth interface also. WTx? ... show more

This is the best battery and electrical system. It’s always good to test the battery before installing especially if you are working on a electrical diagnosis. Don’t remove an old battery and install a brand new BAD Battery lol.. This product was perfect for my situation of needing to be able to test batteries in and out of vehicles and be able to relay results to customers. Other comparable battery testers are AT LEAST $300.00. If you already have an Autel scanner(I think it needs to be Bluetooth) then this is all you need to add to make your scanner a quality battery tester. Thank you ... show more
