  • Autel Upgraded Ver. of AL319/ MS309Autel develops more new features in AutoLink AL519 base on the old AL319, MS309. Instead of just reading and clearing codes, this AL519 OBD2 scanner can perform full OBDII functions (mode 1~10), and provide quick DTCs lookup and live data in text & graph. It can also retrieve generic(P0, P2, P3, and U0), manufacturer specific(P1, P3, and U1) codes and pending codes, car VIN#, turn off CEL, check I/M readiness status, locate bad parts like a O2 sensor, do evap leak test, etc.
  • Full 10 Modes of OBD2 TestsGenerally only the scanners in auto parts stores are equipped with full OBD2 diagnosis, as they can handle more complex OBD2 issues. But this little guy has those too! AL519 car scanner integrates all OBD2 functions (10 modes), including: read code, clear code, view live data, freeze frame data, vehicle info, check I/M readiness status, O2 monitor test, on-board monitor test, EVAP leak test, modules present. Anyone who has cars knows its well worth the price!
  • Live Data Graphing & Freeze Frame DataData graphing makes everything easy, so you won't miss any suspicious data changes! Auto diagnostic scanner AL519 can view live data of multiple sensors and components in text and graph to quickly pinpoint bad parts or faults, eg: viewing the change of the 02 sensors in the graph mode enable you to locate bad sensors in a few minutes. Freeze Frame enables you to view the car's operating parameters at the moment a DTC is detected, which will aid the technician by allowing the parameters to be duplicated for diagnostic and repair purposes. Also you can use AL519 to record the data and print it out via PC to share it with customers or mechanics.
  • Read/Clear Codes & DTC Definition LookupKnowing the accurate codes in advance if you don't want to be ripped off. You can use AL519 scanner to read the codes to quickly locate the problem areas, then determine if you can do the repair yourself or go to a mechanic, and clear the codes to get everything back to normal. When read out the DTCs, you can click the button to display what the codes mean, and DTC Lookup functions work as a DTC library to search meanings for DTCs, no need to google or guess it.
  • Patented One-Click Smog Check & Turn Off CELAL519 OBDII diagnostic tool features patented One-Click Smog Check, easy-to-read AVOmeter to test voltage, continuity, and current at the fingertip, capable of diagnosing 12V charging systems, starting systems, and condition of the discharged battery, memory/battery backup for data review and data printing via PC for further analysis. The Check Engine Light is always annoying you, most of the time because of a little thing like a loose gas cap, isn't it? With AL519 scan tool, you can read codes to quickly find out why the check engine light is on and reset it.
  • User-Friendly Design, Easy to UseUnlike AL319 with 3 buttons, AL519 car scan tool has more intuitive buttons to make it operate like an easy remote control, no worry to press the wrong button and cause EXIT issues. The user interface is really slick and easy to read on the color screen. Equipped with the patented I/M button, it takes you straight to the I/M readiness status page and tells you immediately if your car is Ready for a smog test.

  • Accepts all 10 Car protocols PLUS CAN-Bus (Works with ALL cars)
Color: Red
I replaced my old OBDII unit, because when I would read the codes on my 2005 Lexus ES300 (P40002, P0004 and P0006 codes), upon clearing the codes, I would find that my SRS lost it's calibration and my car computer would think it was in the middle of a "roll-over" and would turn off the Anti-lock brakes and traction control. This meant that I had to re-calibrate the SRS every time I read the codes. My old meter read the codes, and hinted at the problem - which meant hours looking for a vacuum leak. All told - hours wasted and lots of frustration. So, I got this little gem. It read the same codes, as expected - and then SUGGESTED some easy fixes. Guess what? An $8 replacement gas cap fixed my problem. And, because this meter reset the codes and is compatible with CAN-Bus, it didnt' screw up my SRS and ABS system after reading the codes. It does so much more than my old meter! And another plus. If you are like me; you buy this, and generally only use it a couple of times a year. And, likely have batteries that get left there to rot, and hopefully they are replaced before they leak. This requires NO batteries. That's right - it just taps into the vehicle's battery and takes what little power it needs to run the CPU from the car - so you can store it indefinitely without worrying that the battery will leak acid and destroy the unit. It boots up in about 10 seconds, and autel has firmware updates online so you can keep it updated. You will need WindowsXP or newer. I had no issues with Win10. Update was easy and pretty fool-proof. Included software also allows you to capture screen-shots to review on your PC (again, Windows only - not Mac - I couldn't get Parallels to play with this on my Mac running El Capitan). So - as far as I can confirm - you will need a PC running WindowsXP or later. I also had no issues getting this to connect to my 2003 Toyota Tacoma - so it works perfectly with "older" vehicles too. It connected with my vehicles flawlessly, every time. BTW - I updated to the latest firmware on the autel website upon receiving the unit. Again, to be clear - it's straightforward, the download is relatively small, the update takes less than a minute and I am extremely satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • Very Happy With This Product - Saved money, time and frustration
Color: Red
I am not a mechanic by any means (actually I'm a critical care nurse) but I am very mechanically minded, so I am able to fix many of the problems that plague older vehicles as long as I have the tools available. I have been chasing a misfire situation on my 2006 F150 with the 5.4 V8. It has been very annoying and has truly affected the performance of the vehicle to tow heavy trailers or even to comfortably drive without the truck feeling like it's going to stumble and fall on its face. I took the truck to the shop and was told that they really couldn't do much without a check engine light. I was resounded to spending a large chunk of cash to change all 8 plugs (which only have 20k miles on them) and all 8 coil packs. Not an expenditure that I really wanted to take on. I did some research and learned about the Mode 6 data that would show the no code misfires and pulled the trigger on Autolink OBD scanner. I figured that the $60 price tag would either really pay for it self or would just be lumped in with all the other stupid tax that I've paid throughout life. After hooking the AL519 to the truck and taking a drive to allow the machine to track the performance of the motor, I was able to easily dial down to each individual cylinder to see where my problem resided to start the troubleshooting process with some diagnostic info in hand. After changing three coil packs my problems are fixed. The truck runs good again and no longer feels like it is struggling to get up an incline without having to hammer the gas. This little OBD scanner saved me from peeling off a lot of extra cash for the plugs, additional coil packs and probably some shop time to fix those #@&$% spark plugs that Ford uses that love to break off in this motor design. ... show more

I own a BMW X5 that can throw some error code time to time once something goes wrong with it. Going to dealer to have those code scanned getting pretty frustrated as they charge $80 each time regardless you decide to fix or not. After reading all other review on this product, i decided to try this product out. I can't be more happy on my purchase than ever. It ready my error code right out the batch and tell me which part failed on my SUV. Replace the part, the code is gone. I already made my investment back the first time using it. It becomes pretty handy. Ever since, this scan tool stays in my car at all time with out worrying about the error codes popping up. Not to mention that i do not have any mechanic back ground with a really limited knowledge about cars. But there is some simple things that i can do to save me big bucks such as sensor failures, bad spark plugs, etc. i would definitely recommend this. ... show more

  • Good scanner with easy to use interface and codes STORED in the device for easy lookup
Color: Red
Have to smog a vehicle (its been a while since I've done that) and my Bluetooth adapter finally died. I was looking for a complete all in one so I didn't have to link it up and mess with the adapter, this scanned both vehicles and quickly connected to live data and IM's readiness. The user interface is really slick, and easy to read on the color screen. I remember when this level of functionality was way pricier! Didn't even have to look at the manual or look up codes they had a little help menu with each meaning right on the screen at the touch of a button, O2 wasn't ready (IM's) and found a dead clutch pedal switch, easy part swap and easy to see that the O2 was responding appropriately via live data graphs. I was able to read up on how to set it and with a little driving from the manual it set everything and the switch replacement worked as well. Now the car is all ready to go in. The interface is super easy and it picked up a few other things reported that didn't show on a cheep-o scanner. I was able to get all readiness codes set and verified and all the other things fixed up with out wasting a trip. Its a little pricy for the feature set, but they seem to have done a good job with this one, so I'd say just for the easy of use / navigation, and stored lookups and help, this was a good grab and go tool. For a basic scanner it helped for my use case so if that's all you need this one made it way easier. Graphing data was a huge plus! Graphs are a little slow but perfectly good enough for a handheld tool (look its not a Textronics scope here). I was able to capture O2 stream data and changes reasonably quickly with a good sample rate, that I could verify it was in spec and wasn't having to guess. It graphs most PID's smoothly on the ODBII port. If you need some other feature sets you'll probably pay more, but this was worth it for just being easy to see, ready, and troubleshoot with out looking up anything in a tiny booklet or having to go in and google. Autel FTW! ... show more

  • Great scan tool and amazing price
Color: Red
Very amazing scan tool. i use it do a few cars told the right problem help with not having guess your problem and also great to reset and live feed to see what cause problem to your car. i use this one on 328i 98 bmw, 2009 Toyota camery that was my family member car who came in to town the car had gave her problems while she was here visiting and with this tool find out all she needed was to reset the system that was 4 months ago and still no problems. way better than being stuck anywhere. just make sure your car or cars have the usb plug under steering wheel 96 and newer. Over all great product tell pending code (like if somethings is going bad) to store code ( a problem that has happen and that need to be changed) also good if you do work on you car to delete the codes after to see if code is fix. only bad thing is that it don't use battery so you have plug it in before coming on but does hold data if you have check later. ... show more

  • Works on mutiple car lines with no problems
Color: Red
Pros-This was tested on a 2013 Pries, 2006 Town and country, 2005 Dodge neon, 2004 BMW 330 xi and 2012 BMW 535 diesel. On all these vehicles the tester worked as advertised. I do not want to list all the features but they all worked on all the vehicles. I could read all basic live engine parameters or just a few from my own selectable list. I could look at any individual live data in graphic form one at a time. I.e- I was able to look at the O2 sensor voltage sweeps live, throttle position sensor %, engine RPM, etc. I was able to output the data frames to my PC via a supplied USB cable. Checking readiness codes are done automatically once the meter was plugged in. this took less than 10 seconds. There are 3 LED indicators on the keypad that illuminate to indicate readiness Cons- This is a lightweight product made in China. The outer protective rubber cover is more of a semi-flexible soft plastic. The case plastic is not a high quality flexible plastic as used on high quality DVOMs. It is more like the kind you would see on the cheap DVOMs. It should withstand normal wear and tear but is not designed for the rough daily duty expected in a full time repair facility. Overall- I would recommend this product to a technician or DYIer who occasionally works on multiple product lines and just needs basic OBDII test data. I would caution them that this is not going to be as rugged as a Fluke meter and they just need to treat it as a precision instrument. • EVERYTHING a novice needs to read/clear codes AND easily check if the vehicle is ready for smog
Color: Red
The physical size of this is perfect for me, meaty hand-size body with 24”+ OBD cable, much longer than the 12”-ish cable on the itty-bitty scanners where you’re bent over the entire time to read the display. Bend over once to plug in, then sit in the driver’s seat in comfort while scanning. I don’t have exact length on hand, mine’s in my toolbox at work. I’m an auto mechanic for 38 years and ASE Master Tech for the last 20. I have an Autel Maxi-whatever mega tablet that’s $5k, does everything, and is massive. I have a $3k SnapOn Modis that does 90% of everything, has a 2-channel scope, and a repair database but you have to input a bunch of vehicle ID info (unless the vehicle has CAN-bus). This Autel 519 beauty boots in seconds. The I/M button gives you a fast single-screen view of readiness monitors for state mandated smog tests, the monitors either have a green check for ready or a red X for not ready, and best of all the monitors live update while driving. Lots of scanners give you OBD Enhanced data but on the 519 you can select a single data line to show as a full screen graph albeit a digital graph that doesn’t update more than 2-3 times a second. But for $59?? Best little scanner out there. Full disclosure: of the three I bought one came bricked. Seller warranted quickly. ... show more

  • Way better than expected!
Color: Red
I've used this on 6 different cars in a week's time and can't complain. The display is bright and legible, controls are self explanatory if you've used a scanner before, and the quality is obvious once you unzip the case. I'd say it was money well spent since I've wanted for a while. Of the 6 cars I used this with, all codes were found (a lot more than expected) and easily taken care of before clearing. I did read the manual before using it in case you're wondering. It does give detailed information on all the vehicle modules it links to while scanning. The rest is mainly a beginner intro on use. It reads the codes and gives a good description of the probable fault. I read a review where they thought the case felt like cheap plastic and can't disagree more. The outer "sleeve" is a little loose to absorb impact in a fall. I tested this inadvertently...lol. It survived without a scuff. The zippered nylon case adds another layer of protection when not in use. It also has a Velcro pouch inside for the OBD-II interface cable, software CD, and USB to mini USB cable. I would highly recommend this over any scanner you can pick up at the local parts store. You're not going to get a color display that large at this price point! ... show more
