Update: I lubricated the track and it seems to be working fine now. It worked alright when first purchased but it wasn't long before the door wouldn't raise up without physical help. The power supply plug was also loose when it came which wasn't a big deal to us, aside from being annoying.

It doesn't close completely. It isn't really enough of a bother that I bought another one. That is the only fault that I have. It's sturdy, it's solar. NO BATTERIES TO MESS WITH!!!!

We bought this door back in January. Was very happy with it when it worked. Here we are in April and it doesn't work. We aren't able to get a hold of the company for any help with it. Very upset with this product.

I bought 3 chicken doors and by far this one was the best value. The door is sturdy and made of aluminum. I had to build a frame to fit it into the coop opening but once the frame was in place it was easy to install the actual door.It really can make such a complex program so simple，As long as the door is connected to the solar panel, the light sensing mode is automatically set successfully.Because of its unique AI technology, it can skip a lot of complicated setup process,it is equipped with solar panels, and there is no need to replace batteries frequently Light Sensor（highly recommended）: The light sensor is sensitive and fantastic, but what really sets it apart:the auto chicken door is very convenient and plug and play, no other settings are required ,It really can make such a complex program so simple（i must say it again）.It can automatically open the door during the day and automatically close at night, making my chicken life easier and more enjoyable Door Retracts if Chicken is in the Way: Let’s face it, chickens can be stupid, Because I know a lot about this kind of accident with dead chickens. I have bought several other brands finding out I was force to spend extra to gain the knowledge the door would perform as advertised. Others left me in a lurch after a short term in service. I like the fact it plugs into an electrical circuit without the use of batteries. I have owned it for a few months and found if it is constantly receiving the electrical power it needs it does works very well. When I have a power surge I find I have to reset the time in order for it to resume its normal operation. At this point I feel I would purchase another for my roosters once the cost is validated.
