We wanted to replace our bathroom lamp with something more fun and this light fit the bill! As you can see in the last 2 photos above, the light is a pleasant color during daylight, and brighter than I expected at night - which is good. Looking at it in daylight I was worried that it wouldn't be bright enough but at night it was plenty bright. I had minor issues during install - the bracket is metal with two screws on the side that hold the fixture in place - those were fine. The main issue was that the light itself wasn't firmly fixed in place - it would rotate a little although there seemed to be some internal stop that it would not move past (likely for horizontal install). There is a nut on a threaded rod as shown above and I figured tightening that just a bit would solve the problem - however that nut didn't turn very much (I was firm but did not force it) and even trying to turn it made the connection looser somehow - so I quickly gave up on that approach. There must be some internal connection inside the light tube that is having issues and I didn't want to go further. My solution will be to add a small drop of clear glue on the top of the arm once in place to just encourage it to stay still - it does sit vertically as shown. Finally, it's a bit tricky to wire up mainly because the acrylic is on the heavier side and the power lines are very small wires that go into an LED converter box with very small wires coming out again. Normally you can support a fixture with one hand and get the first set of wires connected and then let go and do the next set - but I was worried about those small wires getting pulled out of that converter box. So I used a helper to hold the light while I attached the wire nuts. It is a pretty light and I think good value for the money - just watch these couple of areas I mentioned and you should be fine! ... show more

This is a very bright light! I ordered it to install in my new office space, and while it is plastic - you wouldn't know it when it's on. It looks expensive but isn't - it's a great price and an awesome light.

I have what I think is a really cool hanging chandilier or fixture, however you would think of it - it has a straight black metal piece with black cord/chains at either end and in between, the light is sort of like rope lighting you can buy for indoor/outdoor use. The length of the black-backed light section is longer than the straight piece of metal so that I am able to arrange the light is such a way that it "wiggles and bulges" across the straight piece. The best image I can come up with is a snake trying to slither across a narrow tree branch - parts of its body will be "wiggled" across the branch and other parts will sort of "bulge" off the branch. So what I'm saying is my hanging light has "movement" so to speak and this sconce which is mounted at the edge of the room echoes that movement and the materials are so similar - the rope-like type of light and the wavy mounting of the lights. I think that having the proper lighting in room is essential. I believe that an artistic design is a great statement piece. This wall sconce covers both. The design of this wall sconce reminds me of the flame on a torch and the way that it brightens up the wall makes that thought more concrete. Great product! Great design! Great price! ... show more
