    • RURAL=OUTDOOR ANTENNA.
No changes since Television Broadcast invented. OVER THE AIR Signal is still "Line Of Sight" to the Broadcast Tower; digital and/or historical analog. Antenna "HEIGHT" is Everything! (How high can you get your outdoor Antenna in your rural area) is 100% connected to "Reception Performance". It Comes with 2 different Antenna's just to show us it works; (not for Reception Performance). The Manufacturer is selling the tv NOT tv watching. I get 25 channels with the Coaxial Antenna. And 4 channels with the metal telescoping Antenna. Because the miniature "Coax Cable Antenna" allows me to put this antenna 10' above my head, as I hang it from a tree limb with my ladder. Where as the Metal Telescoping Antenna is only 16" long from the tv. I only use it outside. I'm in a fairly rural county and location though not out in the middle of nowhere like Wyoming, Montana, etc. I DID NOTICE: if I hold it while watching TV allowing my 2 fingers to be on each side of (and touch) both sides of the metal antenna base protruding from the TV; this "GREATLY" improves Reception Quality in combination with the Coax Cable Antenna it comes with. And it's NOT uncomfortable holding it like a phone while watching TV. Obviously whoever uses an outdoor rooftop antenna & even higher (will get Game Changing Reception Performance) for this population amongst us. I love it, no complaints! It's a life saver while Camping and most anywhere really. But; I'm not/I can't using/use it's Metal Telescoping Antenna due to my rural location. I'm guessing the people that are; are in big heavily populated city areas I don't know? But as you read above; I'll never use the under performing (for my area) Telescoping Antenna unless I'm absolutely forced too. No one can achieve any (height) with any indoor Antenna unless their in a tall building. All above is based on my location, like all/any of us. Any bad reception is always YOUR/OUR antenna selection and especially the lack of antenna height; not this TV as it's a wonderful TV. Like other USA UTILITIES; over the air TV Broadcasts are primarily beamed to our Higher Population Area's to reach more exposure / Make Money. Amazon's selection of Outdoor Antenna's is wonderful. & completely normal in rural areas to spend 30 times more? for an outdoor Antenna & 30 feet of mast pipe with attachment guy wires than the tv. No TV can receive signal(s) If we don't allow it too. That's on us. If your RURAL in usa; "on top of your house" IS the lowest you want an antenna for this tv just like all of our lives Reception, no difference. As Line Of Sight is always above your surrounding tree tops. Indoor Antenna's are for heavily populated Counties/Cities and Area's; not out in the rural countryside. Another Way: Any TV's performance is entirely dependent on the selection of antenna for where the TVs being watched but primarily the height or lack of. (Always) invest in the much higher cost outdoor Antenna Construction before considering a tv if your RURAL like me. Again: The 2 Antenna's Included are not for Reception Performance if we're/your outside of heavily populated areas. That's a different world/product/service than simply selling this tv.     • Great idea in a tiny package!
This little guy is a complete surprise! I live in Chicago, in an enclosed building, and I have tried various antennas for the window as an option to cable, but this little guy is the answer!! Little bigger than a cell phone, I hooked it up and I get 44 channels!!! Sharp and clear! Bye cable!!!! For my personal needs it is perfect! Couple cons: the instruction manual is horrible, to say the least, so you have to guess at features. I presumed it could be charged for 100 minutes, no charging cable came with it (no big deal), and there is no way to have it stand indecently, so think I will purchase a cell phone holder or the like. Oh, two other plusses, the remote is fantastic, and finally, a fabulous FM radio!!! You do have to use headphones, as without them the sound is very faint. so, overall one of the best purchases I have made on Amazon!!! ... show more

I love this little TV! Great picture quality, surprisingly good speaker, truly excellent reception with both antenna options. My only two beefs? On the welcome startup screen it shows an icon of an FM radio which it does NOT have, and it would be great to either have an aux-in for a little DVD player or a little HdMI slot for a firestick.     • I was surprised by the very good channel reception
This is a nice little TV. I have to say I was not expecting such good reception. I normally use an outdoor amplified antenna to get good reception on my indoor TVs. But this thing gets most channels with either of the 2 provided small unamplified antennas. Overall, it is easy to use. I don't really see the point of the remote because I generally watch it within hands reach and the buttons on the unit are intuitive and do the job nicely. The only negative I noticed is that the kickstand is not adjustable and keeps the TV too vertical. Also, it does not seem all that durable, or maybe it will be durable because I'm not likely to try to use it. But it's not hard to lean it against something to get the right angle for viewing. Or I use my cellphone stand sometimes too. ... show more

    • Great for Weather Power Outages
This portable TV set is just great to have in your home in case of ever increasingly frequent power outage due to storms. Just keep it charged regularly and it will be waiting for you when storms hit, the power goes out and you need news and weather reports. Fully charged, it lasts about an hour of continuous use. It's only weakness is its short battery life and the buttons on the TV are confusing and sometimes difficult to press. Fortunately, an included remote helps with that. Picture and sound quality is good enough. High quality would just drain the rechargeable battery faster. Video skips/stutters when viewing regular ATSC content over antenna. Huge flaw in design - makes it basically unusable.

This is A Great 5" Screen TV with Excellent Sound & Picture that Automatically Scans and brings in Most television channels. You can also Customize by Programing, Blocking or Skipping any channels you don't want this TV to show which is A Great Added Feature! I only gave 4 stars Instead of 5 Simply because this TV has the same problem pulling in channels that my Much Larger Living Room TV has trouble with which Really is Not either TV's fault but, the area I live In. I'm Very Happy and am Enjoying It A LOT!!!! ... show more
