  • Not the accurate HDR on the go monitor I hoped it would be...
I needed a color accurate hdr workhorse for on location run and gun shoot schedules. I was hoping this would be it but even after buying its proprietary calibration gear and putting it through the paces it had horrible color accuracy and inaccurate HDR representation. Now my buddy bought one at the same time and his panel I will admit is much better then mine but I think that may be even worse news. QC is important and as an original Atomos Shogun owner from day one I couldnt be more disappointed with my experience with this product. ... show more

  • Received an open, used product.
*** BUYER BEWARE *** I received a USED Shogun Ultra after paying for a new one. All the security tapes were clearly broken. Very disappointed that I decided to go with a bigger brand and received a used product at such a high price tag.

  • Poor Quality - Failure Prone
Have purchased the Atomos monitors and liked the theoretical design, but they prove to be poorly built and unreliable. After I had two different Shogun monitors fail in two years (and working with tech support for replacements, which required ME paying for shipping), I just decided they have a quality problem. Inputs fail (both HDMI and SDI), and these units simply fail to boot up after a while (even fully charged/plugged in.. just nothing!) They seem to be based on a software.. and it just becomes (apparently) corrupt and will fail to turn on. Adding one additional item to my complaint, when they DID boot up, they were painfully slow. In theory, a cool design.. but not a great product. ... show more
