  • You get what you pay for...
So I bought this in an attempt to figure out what was wrong with my car. My initial experience was confusing. I wanted something cheap that I could use conveniently without having to pull out an actual machine. I looked into this. My friend referred it to me, and he said it was great. Like I said, the initial opening was great. The box was intact and it looked okay. When I pulled it out there was the machine… That’s it. Don’t get me wrong the packaging was phenomenal but I think having a manual would be nice. Technically speaking though, I did buy an extremely cheap diagnostics tool that works. Sure… you get no manual or any indication of what app to use but they technically don't sell you that point. I guess they just assume everyone will read the item description for the application. I bought an item that was meant to diagnose my car. The item works. The item doesn’t have any problems. That's what they’re selling you. Don't get your hopes up if you expect a really quality piece of equipment for cheap. They sell you what they are stating and it works for me. The only thing I would change would still be the manual. Overall, I can’t hate the item for expecting more out of it than what I got. Technically I guess you can consider the item description the manual. Once I set everything up, all I have to do is go to an app I downloaded and connect to it via Wifi: Therefore, I would give it a 5 for functionality, 5 for packaging, 4 for ease of set up, and a 5 for satisfaction. I would consider myself to be tech savvy. If you’re someone who wants to a straight out of the box, Plug and play I wouldn’t recommend this item;although, if you want an inexpensive, working ODBII I would recommend it. ... show more

  • Works great and makes a fun car gadget too
I bought this just to play with. I was thinking about buying one of the obd guages just to have another gadget in my truck. After pondering all the options the idea struck me that I can access all that and more with one of these wireless readers. I took an old iPhone I wasn’t using and set it up on my dash and downloaded a free app and now I have real time information displayed all the time. It’s a much cheaper alternative and allows for much more data to be retrieved. I can also read error codes and reset codes but that’s just an added bonus for what I wanted. I’m using it in a 2008 Chevy Avalanche with OBD2 Car Scanner if anyone is interested in doing the same thing. I submitted a screenshot of the demo mode of the app b/c I don’t have a photo of it while using it. It was very easy to setup and works just as advertised. ... show more

  • -Works as described ( basic global Automotive diagnostics tool) -Tested on a 2012 BMW F10 ( 5 series) -Light weight and easy to use
-Nice build (not cheap). -Works as described ( basic global Automotive diagnostics tool) -Tested on a 2012 BMW F10 ( 5 series) -Light weight and easy to use. -Can read vehicle's VIN. -Can show life data like temp and RPM. -Can do self test. -Comes with many languages to use. -Can show O2 sensors status and data. -Can show Misfire status and data. -Should be able to show freeze frames on some cars( may not a BMW, you have to test by yourself). -Can read errors and erase errors(didn't have errors to remove though). -Comes with DTC Code search function ( really handy). -Can do compenet and modules tests. -The sky have limits, so don't expect miracles, this tools does most of what it says with most of the common vehicles. See details in attached images showing the real size of the tool and real testing on a real working BMW F10. Is it worth the money? I would say Yes. ... show more

  • Inexpensive and Works Well
It's simple to set up and use. I chose the Auto Doctor app to use with the device. I like how easily my iPhone 6 connected to the OBD ll's WiFi signal. The Auto Doctor Program is easy to navigate also. I scanned my vehicle [2002 Accord Vtech V6] a week ago when I first got the device. My Check Engine light was not on and it correctly found no fault codes. Yesterday my Check Engine light came on and it found an EVAP leak [P1457]. I have not confirmed this is correct by repairing the EVAP component yet. I suspect it's correct because the EVAP canister valve has leaked before. I can only use the OBD II reader with the motor off/ Ignition on. It does not want to remain connected with the engine running. Maybe that's due to the age or model of my vehicle. I don't know... Either way it works! ... show more

  • Great product. Has saved me hundreds of dollars already.
I should have purchased this sooner. Of course, only recently have II had a series of check engine lights on my vehicles. At first I paid $89 for a local shop to read the codes. I saw this and figured I would try it. I used the Turque (Lite) to read and clear codes. I have read two codes and replaced three sensors in the past few weeks. Saved hundreds of dollars by buying the part on Amazon and replacing myself. Great product and worth the $15 it costs. UPDATE: I lost my first purchase, so bought a second. I cannot get the second one to work. Just shows "connecting " but never actually connects. Lowering 5 star review to 2. UPDATE 2: 7/25/18 -- Moving review back up to 5 stars. The problem was with my phone. I put my phone on Airplane mode, connected to the OBD wifi and it worked. Apparently some app has started conflicting with the OBD Wifi IP or port. ... show more

  • Generic 20 dollar scan tool.
Works fine. It might read non body codes but I don't have anyway to verify that. Based on the same pirated Autel firmware as many other cheap scan tools. Doesn't have anyway to store codes for later recall as it does not have a battery. The graphing features are a joke with no resolution. Live data works and is mostly functional. VIN feature is not really that useful and it does not work on older cars anyway. ... show more
