  • Mighty power with a little price tag.
I bought the AT3 ARO red dot sight because I wanted to try a red dot sight on a handgun. I've never used a red dot sight on a pistol before and wasn't sure if I would like the bulk or the additional weight so I didn't want to spend a lot of money on an item I might not ever use. Maybe I'm old fashion but I first learned to fire with iron sights and usually try to keep self defense items as low tech as possible, batteries fail iron doesn't. That being said I chose the ARO because of the features like the battery being on top and the footprint as well as the low price point. When I got the item I was immediately impressed by the look and the sturdy feel of it. When I put it on the firearm I was disappointed to find that the dot was stuck in the upper left corner of the window and no amount of adjustment would move it to center. I uninstalled it, put it in the box and prepared for a fight to try and get my money back. The next morning I checked my email and found a follow up email from AT3's customer service department asking if I was satisfied with the device. I responded with the problem I was having and went about my day. About 10 minutes later I got a reply from AT3 saying they were sending me a replacement unit. Returning the one I had wasn't even mentioned in the response and wasn't even an issue until I asked how I could return it. How great is it that a company is more concerned with ensuring that their customer is happy rather than requiring a defective item is returned before they consider making the issue right. Sure enough, about a half hour after I sent my initial email I got an email from AT3 with a tracking number showing a replacement was sent. Two days later I had the replacement, mounted it on my gun and it worked perfectly. At 25 yards the dot was almost spot on. After two full mags the sight is still zero'd in. I got this thinking it would be a low budget testing device until I could afford a more expensive Trijicon or Burris, Docter, etc... However, after using it and the experience I've had with AT3 Tactical I think I will make this my primary sight. I would strongly recommend this company and device to anyone looking to get a high quality red dot sight and not need to take out a second mortgage to buy one. In the future when I need any optics or accessories AT3 will be my first search. ... show more

  • Great sight for my Victory
Mounted this to the pic rail on my Victory. I worked great! Held zero after 200 rounds. This is my first micro red dot and my first time using non-iron sights on a pistol. It seems very well built and you can access the battery without having to remove it from the rail. First time at the range I was impressed with the results. I do have to say that the dot isn't quite as perfect as my higher end vortex sparc that I had on my rifle before going to a scope. The dot is more of a star than a round dot, but it may also be that i don't have perfect vision and I wear glasses. Plus this AT3 is a fraction of the size and weight and significantly less expensive. All that being said, it worked great and does what it is supposed to do. I highly recommend it! Just did more research and an astigmatism will cause the dot to appear as a star. I took a picture with my phone and it is a perfect dot! ... show more

  • Handles recoil, dim dot.
I used this in conjunction with the Burris micro red dot protector housing which works great. Had the RD mounted on a AKM and then onto a pump action 12 ga. Where it continues to live. Pros: - handles abuse, with the housing, to an extreme degree. I'm a sample size of one, but having bought about half a dozen AT3 red dots, im not surprised that I could run this unit hard. - very small footprint Cons: - in bright sunlight, the dot is hard to make out at the highest setting. - the buttons and brightness settings are not intuitive. You have to cycle through brightness settings instead of being able to go back and forth. Summary: AT3 makes great value optics, and I'm happy with what I got for the price. Again, durability with this company is not even a question. After 500+ rounds of 00 buck, and 200+ high brass buckshot loads, the dot held zero and has not fallen apart. I run my guns hard, tossing them onto the ground, slamming into barricades, etc. They work. But... Due to the very nature of how these micro red dots are constructed, I highly recommend a protective metal housing like the one from Burris. ... show more

  • Updated Review: Great customer service
Updated Review: 5 Stars AT3 Tactical customer support contacted me and offered me a full refund for the issues I was experiencing. I requested a replacement sight instead and they sent it out immediately. I finally got to test the new sight and the red dot does not turn off anymore when the weapon is fired. The replacement works perfectly and I am fully satisfied. I will definitely purchase from this seller in the future because they care about the customers. Original review: 3 Stars The AT3 Tactical ARO Micro Red Dot Sight has significantly enhanced my shooting experience with its precision and versatility. The direct mount, low mount, and optional riser mount options provide adaptability to different scenarios, making it a go-to choice for various shooting styles. The red dot's zero retention is impressive, maintaining accuracy throughout sessions. While there's a minor inconvenience of the red dot occasionally turning off during shooting, it's a quick fix and doesn't hinder the overall performance. For those who prioritize accuracy and flexibility in their shooting equipment, the AT3 Tactical ARO Micro Red Dot Sight is a solid investment that truly delivers. ... show more

  • Fantastic Red Dot Sight AT3 Tactical ARO
This sight is great quality, and it is guaranteed for life. Very well thought out. One button to turn on, turn off, and to toggle between the six intensity settings. At medium intensity, the battery lasts 5,000 hours, which is like 208.3 days with the sight being on for 24 hours a day. If you forget to turn it off, it will turn off automatically after six hours. I have this on a C02 air pistol with a weaver mount and it works without any adapters. Stay away from the bargain basement red dots that are in the twenty dollar range. In the long run, you’ll trash them and move up to some real quality, like this sight. ... show more

  • Great little red dot. Couldn't ask for much more.
Got it out of the box, installed it on the top of a Chiappa Little Badger 22LR. Installed in minutes, easy as pie, I put a little loctite blue on the threads of the rail mount. Put the target at 25 yards, and walked it right into the bullseye in 5 shots. Following shots all very acceptable accuracy for a cheap lil 22LR rifle not known for it's accuracy and a red dot at 25 yards. We fired another 100 rounds all about the same, had a few fliers but i chalk those up to the cheap range ammo and the gun as the zero never changed. My 8 year old shot the gun and when unloading it (break action) dropped it right on the sight on the concrete. No marks, no move from zero, shot just fine. Mount still tight and solid. Great optic for it's price and intended use. Would I put this red dot on a M4 and go to war in Afghanistan... no. Is it great for lil varmints and good range play, etc. Absolutely. Will be ordering a couple more for other 22's. ... show more

  • Great value for money, rock solid built
Modifying my review here. I've bought an AT3 Tactical ARO-Mini red dot for a Taurus TX22 and the red dot is OK. However, it does not come with a cover, no 3rd party seller has a cover that fits and if you contact AT3 for help to find a cover, they don't even have the courtesy to reply.

  • It's passable, alright but not great
It functions ok as a micro red dot. It hold it's zero on my AR15. The construction is however kinda shoddy, especially of how unclean the lense was glued to the body. The finish of the sight also comes off easily. It's ok but not impressive. I also noticed that the red dot has a blinking motion, you can see dot trails when you move the red dot around. I never experienced this situation with any other red dot. ... show more
