  • Sounds GREAT, fits a little tight
I have been through quite a few headsets in the last few months trying to find something that I can wear for sim racing and some FPS gaming. So far these have been the only ones I can live with. The sound is great, the build quality is pretty good, and they don't pinch my ears. The spring steel is set a little tight for my head, but I think this will break in over time. The fabric ear cups are a must for me because the leather ones make for a sweaty seal which sucks for sim racing. Note: The boom mic does NOT mute when up if you are connected via the 3.5mm jack. It DOES mute when up if you use the USB. The button for simulated surround sound doesn't seem to make much difference in the games I use it for. Doesn't matter though, the surround is already really good, so I don't know what it could do to make it better than it already is. ... show more

  • From one ROG fan to another, just don't...
I bought the Fusion 300's after debating if I wanted to buy a used pair of 500's off ebay or new 300's, evidently i choose wrong. I have owned them for 5 months and wish i didn't give my old steelseries prism away, the left ear-cup speaker sounds blown out already (sound for my headset is capped at 70% through the sound settings), the micro usb connector that powers the LED's is at best adequate that it only cuts out all sound every few minutes as the micro USB connection dangles from the bottom of the left ear cup and should the connection come loose you loose all sound and the headphones take 20-30 seconds to reconnect to the computer, and at worst just plain not working. Thank god they have a 3.5 mil jack but they don't have any of the functionality that the headset has would have if plugged in via USB. and to top it off the only way to get an RMA for myself i had to go to twitter and DM ASUS with answers coming back every few hours or so, that were not really satisfy able to my questions. I would avoid these, maybe going with the Bluetooth 700's is the safer buy if you are sold on ROG IMO. ... show more

  • its good for price, quality
i use a dac or pcie sound card from sound blasterx. for max performance, music does ok, it will distord at 34% of high perfomance volume from a dac. sounds good. better than sennheisers, First top place win G635 from logitech and then G433 logitech, directly to 3.5mm are a serious quality, then i add strix fusion 300 analog, then this creative h50, and last hyperx cloud, all analog to dac connected... ... show more

  • Doesnt require supporting drivers
Outstanding construction (as to be expected from Asus), great size for what they are and it can be used with any USB to micro-USB cord. This was a major selling point for me because my last headset cord was chewed up by a vacuum. My only downside is the Asus aura software not playing well with my Asus GL503V laptop. So I'm not able to change the RGB lighting. ... show more

  • Eats Micro USBs
sounds great works great. but it has ate 3 micro usb cables (including the one it came with) with in 18 months. i recommend switching to aux cord with it.

  • Great sound
I really like everything about them except one thing. They have very tall ear cups. Which is t really all that bad. It's just that when you plug in either of the cables (aux or micro usb) they tend to touch your shoulder. Makes it hard to move your head around. Other than that, they're great.

  • Excellent headset!
This has got to be one of, if not, the best headsets I've ever owned. The sound is perfect, sits just right on my ears and doesn't cause me some of the normal pain that other headsets cause over long hours of gaming. 5 of 5 stars!

Right out the box this headset met my expectations. Seems solid and well built. When giving it a test run on a few different games, I was impressed by the pristine sound and bass of this product. Worth every penny in my opinion. Only wished sound could be adjusted directly from headset.
