I went for the ultra sound bar and the subwoofer. Yes it's pricey, but got them on sale. I was waiting for the satellite speakers to go on sale, but they never did. So I bit the bullet and got them too because although the sound bar and subwoofer sound great on their own, I felt something was missing especially when listening to music, and I do listen to a lot of music. I have an extensive collection. I will say that they do make a difference in the sound of the system. They definitely improve the soundstage, as well as the Dolby Atmos experience when watching movies, etc. They sound good. I did put the cloth over them when I ran the adaptec setup. I actually feel the volume of these is quite sufficient in fact I've had to tone them back a little bit. They are not meant for bass, but these add to that all around you sound filling the room. I had a 9.1 setup at my last house so I am familiar with how the rear speakers sometimes are not in the mix at all and other times are extremely in the mix. So IMO, it's all in what you want out of the system. This is not a quadrophonic stereo like we had in the 70's where all 4 speakers blasted out equally. But for a mostly unobtrusive setup, this is very good. The Bose App let's you tweek the volume easily. One other comment I will mention about the app is that you can add addional Bose Soundlink speakers in other rooms, or outside. I love that. ... show more

Ok here is the deal with these. You really don't get LOUD out of them when watching a movie because they are only going to pick up certain sounds and deliver those specific sounds at a surround sound level based on the volume you are listening to. EXAMPLE: you would here the hills of a persons shoes while walking and that should not be as loud as a person talking or the echo of wind. The speakers deliver background/echo/supplemental/additional/ sounds. Not going to deliver the sounds nor level that is coming from the Bar. The 700 Bar and 700 sub (without these) are a solid combo for watching movies. These speakers don't produce loud sound during moovies because its SPECIFIC sounds hat they are design to produce during movie play at a specific volume. (MY OPINOIN) The addition of these speakers are very noticeable. Now playing music is when these speakers absolutely pop which completes the 700 system, (Bar, Sub, Surround speakers). Their sound impact is BOSE and unmatched. PERIOD!!!. You will not be disappointed with this buy at all. I was almost going to send them back until I played music through them. Rock, Country, Rap, R&B, and Blues. The wireless feature and maintaing the BOSE quality wirelessly brings the price which I do think is still a bit high. But you know BOSE is going to charge for it. I think BOSE could have sold these speaker for less money. For this reason, I gave them a 4 star for "value for the money." If you want BOSE but on a tight budget then you can enjoy Bar and Sub.     • Tiny Speakers with big sound

I set out to simplify my audio system and the messy wire situation, so I decided to go from an Onkyo AV receiver and Bose Accustimass system to a Bose 700 setup. First, I started with the Bose 700 Soundbar (which has a great sound) but it was missing the deep vibrating bass and the surround sound I was used to. So I decided to add the bose 700 bass first and it added a solid bass that you can feel ;-). I used that setup for a few months but was still missing real surround sound for TV, Music, and Movies. So I added the Bose Surround 700 Speakers. I am super happy with the sound and all that without messy cables and the complications of an additional receiver. The 700 speakers are tiny, much smaller then I expected them to be form the picture, but they do have great sound. I also got the speaker and stands in black and they look very elegant and have a nice contrast to the wall. The setup was too easy and took only minutes so I wondered if the speakers were really connected. Checking on the bose app and testing the sound confirmed that the setup worked. The complete Bose 700 sounds not only awesome but also looks great. I would definitely recommend it if you are OK with the price. ... show more

    • The perfect compliment to Bose Soundbar and Bass Module!

I started with the Soundbar 700 and lived with it for a few days and then decided to add the Bose Bass Module 700 to my setup and wow what a difference that made! Don’t waste your time with just a Soundbar, you need the Bass Module. I know I’m just an internet stranger, but trust me, it’s a game changer. After a few days I started to wonder if I should go all-in and add the Bose Surround Speakers 700, and I read every review from as many websites as I could. I was cautiously optimistic and didn’t expect the same quantum leap as adding the Bass Module. I hoped the surround speakers would be a nice compliment to the rest of the setup, and they really are! Not overpowering by any means but they help paint the rest of the picture. The sound no longer feels like it is coming from the front of the room where the Soundbar 700 is located, I am now immersed in audio. It’s perfect! I don’t have floor stands or table stands (yet), I just have them sitting on two end tables in the back corners of the room, but I’m sure I’ll add stands in the coming weeks. FYI, these work with the TV and with Spotify so far, no issues at all If you are considering these surround speakers, and you already have the other two components, or if you are thinking of buying the full set, I can’t imagine that you won’t enjoy it as much as I do.     • Horrible and Frustrating to set up

I had originally Bose soundbar 700 with 700 Bass and surround sound speakers . I always felt that the sorround sound was weak and could hardly hear from them . SO when surround sound 700 came , I bought these . But the set up has been a nightmare . I remembered that earlier too setting up the sorround speakers had taken me many hours of repeated tries to get it synched and it often got unsynched leading to another few hours of re synching . But the sorround sound 700 has been even worse . I spend 5 hours on sat and another 4 hours today but either sorround speakers are not getting synched . I tried everything like factory resetting the soundbar to unplugging and re plugging multiple times to switching off the 2.5 Wifi . But not all 4 gets synched . I am tired and frustrated and thus my rant . Other than the setup - I am super happy with the sound though ... show more

After purchasing Bose Soundbar 900 and Bass Module 700, I was really impressed with how well they performed. As a result, I went ahead and completed the system by purchasing the Bose Surround Sound Speakers 700 and the Bose Omni Jewel Stands to go with them. Pros: The speaker is definitely made of pure quality. Nice & Sleek looking Sound Quality is nice Easy pair and set up through Bose app to the soundbar Catches all the background sounds from the movie and gaming Cons: Speakers are smaller than the plug unit it comes with. Speakers are not very loud even as I have it at level 100. Pricey for speakers that are not very loud. Overall: Despite the fact they are not very loud, it is still noticeable and enjoyable and completes My Bose System. I am happy with it. I wish it wasn’t over $500 bit I have no regrets. They are still very nice speakers and I recommend them if you have the means. ... show more

    • A notable upgrade on the nearly invisible surround 300

These are expensive, but they are good. They are tiny; about the same size as a 250ml can of tonic water. And yet, they generate a convincing and loud sound that is much better dispersed than the nearly invisible surround 300s. There’s better integration with the Bose front speaker bar too, and no ‘point source’ for surround effects. Obviously these are not going to compete with a full size dedicated home cinema installation, but as a non-intrusive surround solution for your drawing room, these are discrete and very effective. ... show more
