If you like to play competitive FPS like COD Ranked play, consider this review! I Had my eye on a scuf since last year. However I Bought the scuf pro and wasn’t too happy with it due to getting stick drift within the first 3 weeks of having it so I returned it. Saw this controller with anti drift sticks, 4 paddles, & click triggers for less than $110. Was a bit timid but thought “hey I could get it and if it sucks I’ll return it”. I was playing on an elite 2 prior however stick drift, input delay & everything was kicking my tail. FIRST THOUGHTS : When I got the controller, I loved how small it was. It was very comfy, click triggers was amazing, the contour bumpers was great, 2 rear paddles are a bit stiff however the other 2 in front of the main, are mouse click paddles. The soft touch front was very comfy. Overall, controller felt great. GAMING EXPERIENCE REVIEW : When I plugged it in, it took an hour to adjust from the elite to the scuf. Make sure you fix your deadzones and find your sweet spot. I shoot and aim with my LB & RB adjusted everything. LET ME TELL YOU!! I FELT A DIFFERENCE!! The way I shot, the way I moved, I felt FASTER!! I was amazed at how responsive everything was. I’m on xbox, so I was very shocked. That day I gained 30 SR (won 10 games on a hard stuck plat and hit diamond). I felt faster, quicker, & more confident If you’re looking to getting a competitive controller, I highly recommend this! Including if you don’t play claw, buttons are very nice and everything is great ... show more

Look : Love the Steel Grey colour, probably best look in the market Feel : We all know gaming controllers made with plastic but this matt feeling makes very comfort to grip and very premium, not like other cheap plastic controller Control : The back button probably the best design in the market, and also the switch between clicky short distance trigger bumper. Joystick : The investment of Hall Effect also make the controller value more as avoiding stick drift. Another thing good is the signature SCUF Thumbcap very comfortable. I actually REALLY like this controller. I've been on xbox elite series, initially the first, then series two. Modded the joysticks on a series 2 and those were pretty great as well after the swap. Then I saw these leading up to Black Friday, wired or wireless doesn't bother me much at all, so the significant reduction in cost for the wired version sold me. Everything I wanted. great joysticks, I like the color scheme now but also very easily changed if wanted. Just a solid controller. Very good for the cost. Give it a shot, amazon has excellent customer service and return procedure, you'll know in an hour or so if you like the feel of using it in game. ... show more

    • Absolute Garbage After 6 Months – Don’t Waste Your Money

This controller is a complete joke for the price. After about 6 months of normal use, the USB‑C connection turned into total trash. If you so much as **breathe** or shift on the couch, the controller disconnects. Mid‑game. Over and over. Infuriating. What makes it even worse? The bad USB connection absolutely wrecks your headset audio and mic. Crackling sound, cutting out, mic sounding like I’m talking into a broken drive‑thru speaker. Totally unacceptable for an Xbox controller that’s supposed to be “pro.” And before anyone says “buy a better cable” — I DID. I spent extra money on a high‑quality USB‑C cable, and guess what? Same exact problem. That tells me the port on the controller itself is cheap, poorly designed, or just flat‑out defective. For the price Scuf charges, this should be rock solid. Instead, it’s a poorly built controller with a USB‑C port that fails like clockwork. No abuse, no drops, just normal use. Meanwhile, my standard Xbox controller works flawlessly. Scuf’s reputation is riding on old goodwill, because this product does NOT live up to the hype or the price tag. **Do yourself a favor and buy literally anything else.** I regret this purchase every time it disconnects — which is ALL THE TIME. ... show more

    • Very sensitive but buggy

It's a good controller but has issues. On the good side, the responsiveness is very sensitive. You might find you're doing things you don't mean to, but I like the sensitivity. So far I've had it 4 months,and it is holding up well. On the bad side, if I leave my headset plugged in, the sound crackles until I unplug it and plug back in. Sometimes on start up the controller shuts off, and I have to press the jewel to get it to turn on. But then it's good to go. Also there's just too many volume controls for the headset. One volume wheel is for chat, the other is for game sound.... All those settings are in the Xbox, but sometimes the settings change in the controller and I have to spin both knobs to get sound where I want it. Not sure if mine is defective, but I think next SCUF I get won't have the buttons underneath or the volume controls. ... show more

I have big hands and this controller is very nice for my hands to wrap around. I hate programming a controller to use on my Xbox. This is so easy to set up and i spend more time playing the game. I am a FPS and the trigger stops are very nice. The motion of the thumb stick is very smooth and my aim is better. Rubber grips are the best! This controller is easy to set up and it is a Pro controller. I purchased an X box Elite 2 controller at the same time to test them out. I am returning the Xbox Elite. 2 controller.     • My hands don't hurt anymore

As a try-hard enjoyer of movement based FPS like WH40K Darktide, I wear out an average of one controller per year. My previous controller was a Power A, which was very nice, but the covering wore off of the non-replacable sticks. I also noticed that my hands would hurt after extended gaming sessions, and I would have to take breaks of several days from certain games to recover. The shape and position of the back buttons on the Valor Pro took some time to adjust to, but now that I'm used to it, they feel completely natural and my hands feel great after gaming all day. The build quality is nice too. It reminds me of the Super NES era hardware and accessories. The button presets are also quick and easy to program and select. For a little over a hundred bucks, this sits right in the sweet spot of being nice enough to actually last and perform well while also not being so expensive that it'll be painful to replace when inevitably wears out down the line. Overall a good controller. The major issue with this controller is the power cord. The power cord constantly disconnects from the controller causing major issues and annoyances during game play.
