I very rarely get the extended protection plans when I buy products but I’m sure glad that I did when I bought my 75 inch Samsung TV. All was well for the first couple of years of ownership and then the picture quality started to deteriorate. Put a call in, made a claim, and was extremely satisfied with the outcome. We had an issue with our TV that was covered by an Asurion plan. The claim process was incredibly simple and quick. We filed online and included pictures. Since there was no place where we could have the TV repaired, we were issued an Amazon gift card for the full amount of the original purchase price. The whole process took less than a day.     • THIS INSURANCE IS CRAP!!! DONT BUY!!! THEY WONT PAY!!!! CLAIMS TAKE MONTHS!! They won't fix either!
I bought this insurance on my tv thinking it was going to cover my tv for storm damage and or power outage damage. This is what happened to my tv to cause it to go bad, then this company hires a tv repair guy to go out and figure out how not to pay or fix your tv. You're better off taking this money and putting it towards your next tv. Plus, a claim with the company takes up to a month, would you want to be without your tv for up to a month. I am pretty sure this company pays the repair guys extra to make sure the claims get denied. Total Rip OFF! Think about Everyone you know that sells insurance. They all are rich, and you are poor for a reason. They never want to Pay! TV repair guys they hire are a joke! Worst experience I ever had! Here I sit with a $1600 Samsung 86 inch smart piece of crap with 4 years of Asurion insurance that won't even power on. Total BS!!!!!!!!!! ... show more

Asurions warranty for my LG TV was spot on, sent out a tech, approved the warranty and was given a Amazon gift card for the purchase price so I can replace it with a TV of my choice, thanks!

    • Get the plan.
My husband worked for an electronics retailer in his early 20s that sold service plans at a high markup and always told me they weren’t worth it. Thankfully I err on the side of being cautious. Plans have saved me countless times, bc electronics are not made to last anymore. Long gone are the days of Buy it For Life. This plan in particular saved me when my 2.5 year old beautiful tv started acting weird with the screen. 3 days later, I had a gift card for the exact amount that I paid for the tv to be applied to my Amazon account. I would have been happy if they tried to fix it but I guess it was unrepairable. Lucky for me the newest models of my tv just came out and I applied that gift card to a beautiful new tv that is to arrive next week. Thank you, Asurion! ... show more

    • Fully refunded- well worth it.
75inch tv just stopped working 3yrs after purchasing and i was fully refunded with gift card. Would have given 5 stars, but it took two repair visits to realize it wasn’t fixable. Definitely worth buying this insurance!!!

    • So glad I thought of taking our a protection plan
My 4k tv worked great, but developed two large dark areas. I reached out to asurion, they assigned a team to investigate and fix, they called, I gave them the model number, turns out its not fixable, they issued a refund the same day in the form of an Amazon gift card.
