My Breville Barista Pro just went out after 3.5 years. Breville said it may cost $200 - $400 for the repair if it could be fixed and I had to pay all the shippinng. I called Assurion and their claim process was very easy and seamless to use.My machine was still covered under the policy I had bought and all shipping was free too! I was notified within 24 hours of my machine being received that it was not able to be repaired and that they'd refund me the purchase price of it within 24 to 72 hours via an Amazon gift card in my email. The refund arrived 30 seconds later. Fortunately, I found a New machine identical to my old one for just a little less than my original one and will have it in about a week (as long as UPS delivers quickly). I highly recommend and will buy again!

I have used this plan for an espresso maker. Automatic espresso makers are notoriously difficult and tend to fail after a couple of years. Mine failed 3 1/2 years into the 4-year protection plan. Asurion asked me to send the device for repair. A week after receiving the device, Asurion decided it is not worth repairing and they refunded me the full purchase price. I am happy with the timely resolution of the problem (and purchased the plan again for the replacement device I ordered). Overall, dealing with Asurion was easy. Just make sure to keep the original box around to make it easier to send it back if needed. Overall, I ended up maybe 2 1/2 weeks without a machine (but consider that this was during various Covid19 closures). All interaction used a fairly straight forward web site.

I’ve been using buying Asurion extended warranties on my products through Amazon for years. Fortunately I’ve never had to use them until recently when I had two items fail. One was a computer graphics card GPU that was very expensive. I sent it back to them when it failed however they did not repair it they simply refunded my money, but that was a little consolation compared to not being able to buy the product again! I wanted it fixed & RETURED! Now this month another product I bought a (Krups automatic coffee maker) which had an issue with the coffee being a little watery. I’ve had that issue with another Krups machine I bought in 2008. It too had turned watery. That old Krups coffee maker had exceeded the warranty. So I found a certified Krups repair location & shipped it off paying for the repair myself. BUT I GOT THE UNIT BACK. The unit finally failed after 12 years! I really love that old unit so that’s why I bought another Krups latte/espresso/cappuccino maker automatic. But the lesson is don’t expect Asurion to fix anything! I don’t think they fix anything anymore except laptops which has been their primary gig for years. I think this is a scam. The lesson here is if you want to keep a product that you really like and you can get it serviced locally or regionally do that instead of buying an Asurion policy. Because that’s what I plan to do in the future I’ll just pay for it myself because I want to keep the product. Buyer Beware!

I usually don't purchase additional protection plans, but I'm so happy I did this time. Filing the claim was very easy, and Asurion issued the gift card to cover the cost of the failed appliance very quickly. Did I buy a protection plan for my replacement appliance? Yes!

I am impressed with the protection on my Expresso Machine. Grinder stopped working and it started leaking. Contacted Asurion, and was given complete instructions on filing a claim. Received UPS return label, as soon as it was shipped, I received an Amazon gift certificate (same day). Very happy with claim. First time I have had to use the protection, and it was seamless!
