    • Excellent and affordable fix for the dishwasher
I bought this set for my dishwasher rack that was starting to rust in spots. The caps worked great on all the spines after removing some of the excess rust material that made them wider than normal. I also put the extra caps on areas that look like they were starting to deteriorate both spines that hold the dishes and some of the sides of the racks. The glue was used for parts that didn't have an endpoint that could be covered with the caps and did a great job covering them and stopping the deterioration from continuing. I recommend trying to clean off as much of the rush and junky pieces of the rack before applying which makes it easier. ... show more

These do the job great if you catch the breakdown early. If you wait too long and the metal begins to split then it’s a giant pain in the butt to shave the old part down and get the knob to fit.

    • The goop is working great
I've used some of the tine toppers, and they are holding fine after about 6 months. The goop is also working well. My Bosch rack is already rusting after 2 years :( , so I used the goop to cover the places where those rust spots are (generally where the tines are welded to the rack). So far, so good, though I don't expect miracles. It's probably a good idea to look at your brand-new dishwasher rack and and goop the likely wear/trouble spots, Lots of them have zero plastic on the cut ends of the wires (my whirlpool rack was like that).
