I usually bypass paying for any extended warranty. For some reason, this time I didn't (and forgot that I did). My Toshiba microwave started having issues. I looked up my Amazon account to see when it was purchased. And there it was, a button to file a claim for the extended warranty. So I did. I have had numerous bad experiences with utilizing previous Asurion protection plans. This time when I contacted customer support about my broken item, the customer service representative took immediate action to assist me with processing my claim and as soon as I mailed the defective item, I received notice that a credit was sent to my account. It is not good I bought warranty on canon office jet printer After two years when I had problems with the printer , I called customers service I was told I have to pack it and ship at my expense I think the warranty is not worth it It may us feel good that we have warranty and being Amazon product you can trust the company I am really disappointed ... show more

The grinder on our expensive coffee pot would stop working and have to be cleaned thoroughly to get it to start working again. It was already an appliance that I was sorry I bought. When it stopped working and no amount of cleaning would fix it, we got a different brand and started using it. I filled out an online claim form, and immediately received a shipping label to send it back. The refund (Amazon Gift Card) was emailed the next day. THIS WARRANTY IS NOT AS GOOD AS AN AMAZON WARRANTY. THIS ONE TELLS YOU TO PACK UP THE ITEM IN AN APPROPRIATE BOX WITH CUSHIONING ON YOUR OWN. IT MAY BE OK FOR A SMALL ITEM, BUT MINE WAS 55 POUNDS 24"X18"X18". NOT AS COVENIENT AS THE AMAZON WARRANTIES.
