  • Impressive speed
Some years ago I had a variety of brands of CF cards and realized that only the Sandisk cards had not given me costly and annoying failures. Since then I've used only Sandisk and have never had a failure. So the question here was the value of the speed of this card and whether it would really perform speed-wise. Sandisk does not brag about the write speed though apparently it is impressive. I don't know if it's the write speed itself or the UDMA 7 feature but I do read that this card allows DSLRs to take a lot more images in burst mode than slower cards. I.e., the buffer can be off-loaded to the card fast enough to make room for more shots. My DSLR can do 5.5 frames per second and probably can do a lot more frames in a sequence with this card, but I've not tested that yet because I don't do that kind of shooting very often. I did, however, find that I could write to this card at about 45 to 60 MB/s using a USB 3.0 card reader (speed depends on which computer I'm using and the file sizes). I bought this card for the read speed. My DSLR is USB 2.0 so cannot take advantage of this card's 120 MB/s read speed (this is what's on the card's label). A full 16 GB CF card takes a while to download to the computer (10 minutes with USB 2.0) and at times this is time that I don't have. I combined this card with a Transcent RDF8 USB 3.0 card reader and I'm seeing about 100 MB/s downloads to my computer. That isn't the 120 MB/s advertised read speed and is also below the Transcend's 130 MB/s advertised read speed capability. However, I've rarely gotten USB read speeds anywhere close to rated speeds so wasn't really expecting that. The 100 MB/s is more than three times faster than the USB 2.0 reader in my camera which has always been my fastest CF card reader. I still use the camera USB connection for downloads when I'm not in a rush because I think it's safer for the camera and the card to use the mini USB connector on the camera and not be plugging the card in and out. But, now on late nights in a hotel room when I want to get a look at my images to check them after a long day of shooting I only have to wait about 3 minutes for the download. ... show more

  • Is it value for your money?
Of course, there are plenty of things to dislike about this movie. There is nothing wrong with the movie as such. It is the contents that is extremely disturbing. Watching the way the soldiers "dealt" with the Indians and the appalling manner in which they did so, is quite demoralising, to say the least. The fact that the leaders of the troops were all in favour of this decimation of the native Indians is a disgrace the entire USA Army, both then and now. What affected me more was the fact that some troops were clearly appalled by what was happening, yet did nothing to try to halt the slaughter of the victims, innocent men, women and children. Every member of that group who participated in that onslaught, should have been rounded up and put before a firing squad.....regardless of rank. If the movie is based on fact and the real truth, then it surely must rate as one on the most despicable horror crimes the USA have ever committed. See this movie for yourselves.....and dare to tell me I am wrong. ... show more

  • Extreme CF Card Solved my Problem
Package Type: Standard Packaging
Sandisk Extreme CompactFlash Memory Card - 64 GB (SDCFXS-064G-A46) I was impressed (no easy task). First the two day delivery was on time. Next I slipped the 64 CF card into my Nikon D810 and went outside to take some rapid burst pictures to see if I could duplicate the jamming problems I had with my other card. While the techniques used in my test were not scientifically accurate, the results were obvious; the Scandisk Extreme 64GB, UDMA 7, solved my problem. While the Extreme may not have the write speed of the Extreme Pro or the Lexar Professional, it is also less expensive. I recommend the Sandisk Extreme Compact Flash Memory Card! ... show more

  • Flawless performance
I purchased two of these CF cards in advance of a major shoot and was very satisfied with their performance. At 16GB, they are not extremely large, but in terms of data transfer speed they are twice as fast as the cards I had used previously. In fact, they can move data faster than my camera is capable of generating it. While shooting the event, I'd sometimes capture long sequences of action, just holding down the shutter button and taking a series of pictures on high speed shutter. The CF cards never failed, and I captured around 50 frames in a row without hesitation. They only reason I didn't capture more is that I took my finger off the button. During a very busy weekend, I took about 23,000 photos and never had a problem. I highly recommend these CF cards. ... show more

  • Excellent cards for demanding professionals
I bought 2 of these for use professionally (weddings) in a pair of Canon 5D Mark III cameras. All of my cards are Sandisk and I have never experienced a card failure *knock-on-wood*. Every year or 2 I buy new cards that are larger and faster than previous as the price point on flash memory continues to decrease, and I retire older, smaller cards. Transfer speeds are great. These cards are twice as fast as previous generation Extreme CF cards. I don't do much SLR video, so I can't comment on their use in video recording. I'm very happy with these cards and look forward to their reliable use for years to come. ... show more

  • Trouble-free
Package Type: Standard Packaging
Although the technology is a bit outdated, I had no problems using the card for rapid-fire photography (10frames per second). Downloading the photos a bit slow, but I can live with that for the price for some extra cards in the field on long trips.

Package Type: Standard Packaging
I used these in combination with some Lexar Professional SD cards in my Canon 5d MarkIII on a month long trip over seas. Had no issues while on vacation--thankfully--but discovered that CF cards >32Gb might have an issue being formatted FAT, or whatever the manufacturer had formatted them as. Lucky for me the Canon camera had no issue re-formatting the cards after I naively unformatted it in Windows 7. ... show more

  • Faulty card after 1 use
Package Type: Standard Packaging
Received card Sunday and used for the first time that following Wednesday to capture 6 little league baseball teams. After 2.5 hours of capturing I went home to pull data off of card only to get an error for ever image captured. Luckily I was able to recovery the images using a recovery app. I tried the card again around the house after reformatting and received the same error🥲😡 ... show more
