Added a 4 year warranty on a Ghost Controls Solar Gate Opener. After 2.5 years the motherboard and probably solar panel failed. The claim took about a month from start to finish. There was some hoops and some phones calls, and some disconnects, but in the end, persistence paid off. We sent the motherboard back. They deemed it not fixable and they refunded the gate in its entirety. Thus, at that point, I have no complaints. This is our second Amazon warranty claim over the years and both were paid fairly.

I would like to give this 0 starts. Amazon recommended this product as a protection plan for a rather expensive welding helmet. The screen in the helmet cracked and this protection plan doesn’t cover it. It turns out that a welding helmet, that is very much a portable device, is classified by Asurion as a home improvement. A claim for repairs was denied because this “accidental damage” isn’t covered on a home improvement protection plan, this damage is covered under a portable device. I have no intentions of buying any more “protection plans” that don’t cover the products that they are supposed to protect.

Quite frankly, I was astonished by how quickly I received a response from Asurion. My under-sink water cooler stopped working after a few years. I had insured the unit, so I contacted Asurion and got an immediate response as well as a mailing label. A week or so later, I took my broken unit to a UPS store to be sent away. I fully expected it would be weeks before I got a response from Asurion. I was astonished to receive my full refund within the hour. The boxed unit hadn't even left UPS yet! It's not often one can report such quick and easy service. Thank you!

It stopped being smart and functioning. Really appreciate getting the money to order a new one. This time from a different company. Took some time to fill out paperwork but wasn't able to get manufacturer to fix it. Thanks to Asurian not a problem for me.

I struggled with this when I first had to post a claim. It often felt as though the claim process and the folks helping didn't really want to help. I assume there is a bit of discouragement to ensure people who make a claim are not going to just use this to flip a claim or do something fraudulent. My issue was that the claim form drop down never matches with the actual product you purchased. As a result, in my case, I had a KVM 4 monitor video switch that died after a year or two. I purchased a 4 year plan on it. I sent in the product, the invoice, and a note explaining that the drop down wouldn't give me an option for what I actually purchased. If I didn't keep following up on this, it may have just fallen through. But I did, and as a result, and only after I talked to someone verbally, (twice), this was resolved. They evaluated my device, and issued me an Amazon credit since it was defunct, and that they couldn't fix it. In the end, yes, I am very happy, but the path to getting here took three months, and was a bit frustrating at first.

I bought the warranty from Asurion for a generator. The generator failed so I filed a claim. Within a few days they got back to me and said they couldn't get it repaired. They sent me a Amazon gift card code for the full amount of the generator. The people were very nice and professional. I will always by the warranty through Asurion if it's offered. Great company.
