I wasn't sure who to contact, so I started a claim with Asurion, thinking that they would direct me to either Amazon or the manufacturer to continue the troubleshooting and repair process. The next email I got from Asurion informed me that they were refunding the entire purchase price for the smoker, in the form of a gift card, which was added to my Amazon account immediately! I frequently purchase Asurion protection plans along with the products I buy on Amazon, but I've never had cause to file a claim. Cut to the hottest day of summer when our 2-year-old air conditioner decided to call it quits. I had a 4-year protection plan, so I contacted Asurion expecting a nightmare of figuring out how to get service for our faulty air conditioner. Would I have to mail it in for repairs? Would a service person be coming to our house, and when??? We are boiling like lobsters up in here! Good news; no hassle at all! Asurion simply issued us a refund for the original price of the unit (with an Amazon gift card), which gives us immediately available funds to purchase a new air conditioner. I couldn't ask for a faster, easier resolution to our problem. And as icing on the cake, when I called in, there was NO long hold time + the representative I spoke with was super sweet and seemed genuinely concerned about helping me out. Wow. Just wow.

I’ve filed 3 claims on my dehumidifier. 1st. Technician said it was low on coolant, but called back and told me I had in bad location, near a/c and it would not work well there. It would not work anywhere because it’s out of coolant dummy. 2nd claim, soon after, just trying to test the previous analysis, technician came, disassembled the dehumidifier and said it had a pinched cable. It worked for about 15 minutes and then nothing. 3rd claim, I filled out 4 weeks ago, they asked for additional paperwork and pictures and radio silence. I tried emailing 4 days ago and still no response. I’ve spent more time off to wait for repairs than the cost of the product in the first place. Total loss of confidence in the company. Feel like I wasted money not only on this but other times I’ve bought the warranty service since this one, because I don’t have faith that Asurion will honor the warranty. After giving them one star, I contacted Asurion and got to a real person. They were a great help and ended up determining the dehumidifier was not repairable. They were very quick to provide a credit with Amazon. That is what I expected. I didn't give 5, because it did take the month and perseverance.

AC I purchased stopped functioning after a couple of years. I did buy the assuring protection for a little over $100. It covered 3/4 years. I reached out to Asurion and they responded right away. No pictures had to be taken. No phone calls to be made. Check for full reimbursement. Love it.

I luckily purchased this protection for equipment needed for my home. The equipment value was a little over $400 and was from a vendor I did not have experience with and appeared that they were based overseas. The equipment stopped working a little shy of two years. The vendor replied once from their customer service and then ghosted me. I used Asurion's chat to make a claim. The representative quickly found my Amazon order and the associated Asurion protection. They asked one question about what was happening regarding the equipment and then proceeded to pay my claim. I believe the whole process from starting the chat to having my entire purchase price put into my Amazon account was less than 5 minutes! This was my first time having to make a claim with Asurion and they exceeded my expectations and certainly made me feel good about having that protection. I bought another Asurion plan with my replacement equipment purchase.

They were unable to repair my air conditioner because did not have a service person from my area repond to their call for a repairman which I would have preferredbut instead they they refunded the original purchase price not trhe cost of the added waranatee policy as a Amazon gift care and I am left on my own to dispose of the unfixed air conditioner which is hard for me beausse I am old. I got two years out of the use of the airconditioner. On the other side those are the circumstances of our time. They were3 prompt in responded and did what they had to do and probably not their fault they are able to deliver the brest solution for me. I would recomment this inssurance from Asurian to anyone. It was a very reasonable price. So if thought having to dispose of the broken one instead of having it fixed would have been much better for me, I think they did their best!
