Claim Honored Quickly and Effortlessly
I luckily purchased this protection for equipment needed for my home. The equipment value was a little over $400 and was from a vendor I did not have experience with and appeared that they were based overseas. The equipment stopped working a little shy of two years. The vendor replied once from their customer service and then ghosted me. I used Asurion's chat to make a claim. The representative quickly found my Amazon order and the associated Asurion protection. They asked one question about what was happening regarding the equipment and then proceeded to pay my claim. I believe the whole process from starting the chat to having my entire purchase price put into my Amazon account was less than 5 minutes! This was my first time having to make a claim with Asurion and they exceeded my expectations and certainly made me feel good about having that protection. I bought another Asurion plan with my replacement equipment purchase.

Non-Responsive - Waste of time and money.
I’ve filed 3 claims on my dehumidifier. 1st. Technician said it was low on coolant, but called back and told me I had in bad location, near a/c and it would not work well there. It would not work anywhere because it’s out of coolant dummy. 2nd claim, soon after, just trying to test the previous analysis, technician came, disassembled the dehumidifier and said it had a pinched cable. It worked for about 15 minutes and then nothing. 3rd claim, I filled out 4 weeks ago, they asked for additional paperwork and pictures and radio silence. I tried emailing 4 days ago and still no response. I’ve spent more time off to wait for repairs than the cost of the product in the first place. Total loss of confidence in the company. Feel like I wasted money not only on this but other times I’ve bought the warranty service since this one, because I don’t have faith that Asurion will honor the warranty. After giving them one star, I contacted Asurion and got to a real person. They were a great help and ended up determining the dehumidifier was not repairable. They were very quick to provide a credit with Amazon. That is what I expected. I didn't give 5, because it did take the month and perseverance.

Easy claim submission.
I had bought several dehumidifiers over the past couple years with non of them lasting. So when I purchase the last one, I decided to protect myself and purchase the protection plan from Asurion. After about 6 month the last one I purchased failed. I filed a claim with ASURION in a matter of minutes and a claim was accepted. I purchased another dehumidifier with the claims reimbursement - also purchasing another protection plan on that unit. Highly recommend.

Lightning-Quick Warranty Refund!
I bought the 4-year plan to protect a pellet smoker/grill. The grill electronics failed in the middle of the protection window. I wasn't sure who to contact, so I started a claim with Asurion, thinking that they would direct me to either Amazon or the manufacturer to continue the troubleshooting and repair process. The next email I got from Asurion informed me that they were refunding the entire purchase price for the smoker, in the form of a gift card, which was added to my Amazon account immediately! Easiest warranty claim I have ever made.

Asurion and Moen both failed
I purchased this extended warranty in conjunction with the purchase of a Moen automatic water shut off valve (Moen 900-001), and that valve was originally installed by a licensed plumber on the main water line into the house. Due to other contracting delays for other work at our house, the unit was finally installed several months after purchase, but within the 1 year Moen guarantee. It never worked as an automatic shut off valve because the internal turbine mechanism within the device did not work to measure flow rate, and so no flow was ever recorded in the app that came with the device. Another month or so went by after contacting Moen to determine action to take, but they eventually sent a replacement internal mechanism. I had difficulty finding a contractor to take the unit apart and replace the provided internal mechanism, and so more time passed before the replacement mechanism was installed. It too did not work. Contacted Moen again, and they said the entire unit needed to be replaced, but since the 1 year warranty had expired, they declined to replace it. I originally purchased this Asurion extended warranty on the device, and so I contacted Asurion for them to replace the device. Their procedure to file a claim insists that you return the item to them before they would send a replacement, or initiate a repair. I contacted them and told them it was part of the plumbing system for the entire house, and that a replacement needed to be installed at the same time the original faulty device was removed. Spoke to a supervisor, who finally understood this and said they would get back to me within 48 hours. 2 days later I received an email from Asurion saying "we have identified that the product you purchased is not eligible for plan coverage but we're happy to inform you that we'll gladly take care of this for you. We're happy to let you know that, as a one-time courtesy, you've been approved for a check reimbursement for the product's purchase price, excluding taxes, discounts, and the plan cost." In essence they said they disavowed the warranty that I purchased, but as a favor they would reimburse me for its cost (excluding taxes), but not the cost of the warranty plan that they said did not cover this item. Nor would this warranty extend to any replacement Moen valve, should I decide to use the reimbursement for that type of purchase. In essence they disavowed the warranty, and wanted me to be thankful that they were doing me a favor by reimbursing me for my original purchase (but not the tax or warranty premium that was associated with it). Clearly I am dissatisfied with both the Moen device, and the Asurian extended warranty.
