    • Check you miter fence!

Once you've done it a few times, it's fairly easy to change cartridges. If you're replacing one because it triggered the safety mechanism, be sure to lower the blade all the way down before trying to remove it. The cartridge works fine with a 8" dado set. However, beware of your miter fence! Twice now I've forgotten to adjust the positioning of the fence when switching to the opposite side, and therefore touched the blade with the fence, which of course triggers the auto stop safety feature and forces you to buy another cartridge.
