My cheap generator worked well for a couple of years. Then the recoil starter failed, so I filed a claim on the protection plan I purchased with the generator. Asurion quickly called it un-repairable and gave me an Amazon gift card in the amount of the original generator purchase price. I'm glad I bought the plan and will do it again when I purchase an odd branded item of significant value. Do save your email confirmation of the protection, though.

I had bought a four-(4) year warranty on a portable generator and it quit working "properly" after about 3 years plus. Asurion rejected my initial claim but I ended up calling them and they took care of it after that. (That's why I'm knocking off one-star. )

This is my second attemptbof a review submission for this product. My first was rejected saying I didn't follow guidelines but didn't give specifics of what was wrong with my review. I purchased this 4-year protection plan for a cordless impact wrench. They have serviced it several times with no issue, however this last service attempt was frustrating. I submitted a claim on December 8th due to the cordless impact grinding while in use. It arrived back on the 23rd, I tried it on the 28th and it had the same issue right out of the box. I submitted another claim to get repaired correctly and it started a process of frustratation. First off the asked for a receipt even though they have the receipt number, purchase date, purchase price, and product serial number already. I submitted the online claim and it asked for the receipt again. I submitted the receipt for the protection plan and got a return email saying I needed to submit a receipt. I then spent a half hour on the phone with two separate customer service employees who confirmed my identity, service #, product, purchase price and date. I was then told they needed the receipt because I submitted another claim so quickly. They didn't fix it correctly the first time, I then had to spend well over an hour getting my claim processed by when it only took 5 minutes the first time. To top it off my first review was rejected without specifics.
