The process was fast they just verified a few information to help with the claim. They made it simple and easy to get the claim by sending the gift card by email to be used at the amazon store as a credit.

The pump lasted about 3 - 3 1/2 years. Not self priming. Was covered under asurion protection plan. No hassle at all to replace and quick too.

I had purchased a floor lamp 4 years ago. When it failed, I looked to see if I had purchased an asurion warranty. I saw that I was one week short of the 4-year period! So, I was concerned that they would think it was a scam claim. It took less than 2 minutes to fill out the form to file the claim. Within a minute or two I was notified that I would be getting full reimbursement for the lamp in a day or two. No hassles, just perfect service.

If you purchase home improvement products on Amazon, you should really consider purchasing Asurion 4-year Home Improvement Protection Plan. It’s protection without worry. My recent claim procedure was easy, and without pages of explanation. Why wouldn’t you?

Boy am I glad I bought the protection plan. I bought a water distiller in January of 2024, and now in December 2025, it sprung a leak. I tiny pin-hole developed in the bottom and water was going everywhere. I made my claim and within hours I had a refund in my Amazon account for the full amount I paid for the unit. So I bought another one that was slightly cheaper (maybe because of the "daily deals") and had money leftover to buy something else. I have my new water distiller and though it's slightly different than the first one, it's doing the job. I bought the protection plan for this one too! Good investment!
