Unfortunately after miles and miles of running the moisture from sweat will get into the player and stops working. I have purchased Asurion extended warranty insurance a number of times for various products. I have needed to use their insurance a couple times too. They make the process easy and they even pay for the postage. This most recent claim was for a smartwatch I bought just over two years ago. I had paid for three years of extended warranty insurance. It stopped recording sleep cycles but has otherwise performed quite nicely. I contacted Asurion and they made the return process easy. I mailed my old smartwatch to them and they had a gift certificate applied to my Amazon account the day I mailed it out (once they had tracking). All of my money was refunded. I enjoyed selection a new smartwatch and found one I liked. I made sure to purchase a three year warranty again (the watch cost less than the one I returned). The money left over paid for the new insurance and there was still some money left; so, I got paid to own my old smartwatch and got reimbursed sufficiently to purchase a new one with another three year warranty. Hopefully, this watch will last three years but if it fails (or breaks), then I know that I'm completely covered. That's a lot of peace of mind for $2.33 per year! I highly recommend Asurion for electronics and smartphones or anything else you think may not last three years. You will get a full return if you need to file a claim and postage paid to boot. Asurion is very worthwhile extended warranty insurance!

When my wife's Smartwatch no longer worked properly after approximately 1 year and 8 months, ASURION was there for her. Asurion responded with a full refund so that my wife could buy another one. There was no hassle or aggravation. Asurion did the right thing, as promised from day one of purchasing its' policy. As I said above, my spouse purchased another Smartwatch, and also bought another Asurion policy. We hope that she never has to use that policy, but if she does, we know that Asurion will be there for her.

I bought a product that is known to malfunction/break easily, so buying a protection plan provided me peace of mind when I was buying a replacement. When the battery started degrading, I was able to very easily submit a claim and ship over my item, and the reimbursement (in the form of an Amazon gift card) came quickly. I would highly recommend this protection plan!

I bought this for $5 on a set of earbuds on sale 6 months ago that cost $30. I would have loved to get replacement earbuds. However it doesn't work that way. The earbuds now cost $42. They reimburse you for what you paid for your product minus shipping and tax. So the net was that I paid $45 for a new set of earbuds including tax and shipping but I was only reimbursed $30. The updated price plus tax plus shipping were NOT included in the refund. Also, a picture of the earbuds wasn't good enough to process the refund...I had to drive to town to return them at UPS (45 minutes away). When I got to UPS, they would NOT accept the original box it was shipped in so they wanted me to buy another box and shipping material for an extra $15. I had to drive home and repackage it with a different box and packing material I already had. If not, I would have only netted a $15 recovery of my now $45 earbud replacement purchase. Also, the insurance doesn't transfer to the new earbud purchase so I would have to buy another $5 insurance if I wanted it. Bottom line...unless you are purchasing something of greater than close to $100, insurance doesn't seem worth the cost or trouble.

It was so easy and fast to make a claim on this policy! From the time I made the claim to the time I got a response was less than 10 minutes! I was immediately sent a mailing label and sent the defective earbuds in. I was issued a full refund via Amazon gift card in 3 days from my claim (time it took for the earbuds to be shipped back). The entire experience was easy and FAST!
